A visitor touches 'Purple Haze 2' at the revolutionary art exhibition Sense & Sensuality 2006 in the Bankside Gallery in London, England. The exhibition encourages visitors to get hands-on with all the works of art on display. The artists are exploring not only the visual but all of the senses.

Sometimes the art world intrigues and even mystifies me, but other times I have to say that I just don't get it. Aren't there other things we could be spending creative energy on? For example, why are all hybrid cars ugly? Couldn't we solve that before we touch purple things at art exhibits?
