Subscribe to RSSI never thought that dirt could make for such an interesting photo but this photo changed my mind. It has a great visual appeal and the cracks draw the eye through the photo to the village in the background.

Dry and cracked mud is seen near a site where foul-smelling mud has been flowing from an oil and gas exploration well operated by local company PT Lapindo Brantas in Sidoarjo, East Java Sept. 12, 2006. The Village chief is hoping to save the Indonesian hamlet of Kedungbendo from a torrent of mud flowing unchecked from an exploratory oil well.
