I used this picture from Chile for our World News section front today. We do a lot of complaining about our education system in the U.S. I wonder what would happen if things ever got so bad that our students took to the streets. How would U.S. society react? Would we arrest them? Would we shoot tear gas and water canons at our children? Please don't misunderstand my point. I'm not suggesting that the citizens of Chile are any worse or better than the citizens of the U.S. I'm just wondering what would happen here.
