Pregnant women cast their ballot papers in a maternity hospital in the western Siberian city of Kemerovo, December 2, 2007. Parliamentary elections began Sunday in Russia with 107 million people called to elect 450 members to the Duma.

Today I saw pictures of election workers bringing ballot boxes to homes in remote villages and maternity hospitals in Russia. Certainly makes one wonder if this is about making sure everyone has a chance to vote. In any case, this is a pretty funny picture. I wonder if they are voting for two.
