Subscribe to RSSIt'd be cool to stand on the moon during an eclipse like this with the surrounding moonscape glowing red. I wonder if you'd be able to see the lights from Earth's cities, since the sun would be obscured.

The moon passes through the shadow of the earth during a total lunar eclipse on Wednesday Feb. 20, 2008. Though the Earth blocks direct sun from reaching the moon, some sunlight filters through the Earth's atmosphere and creates this reddish glow.
