Police use water canons to quell street violence following a street festival, called Schanzenfest street festival which started peacefully in Hamburg, northern Germany, early Sunday Sept. 13, 2009. Several hundred people clashed with police forces following the day long street festival in a largely left wing neighbourhood notorious for confrontations with police.
