A quick search of the web and the wires yields no additional information on this shipment of scooters, so we can't yet tell you if this was a previously planned transfer, was scheduled after the weekend's events in the Mediterranean, or really anything beyond the provided caption. I have called the AP to see what additional information there may be, and will update here as we learn more. (Updated caption from the AP: "According to Israeli military sources, Israel allowed Tuesday six trucks of electric scooters into the Gaza Strip, after they were unloaded from the Gaza-bound flotilla boats in Ashdod. The scooters are currently stored at the crossing until they are accepted by the Palestinians.")
Even when there is a lot of context for imagery from the Mideast, interpretations of the pictures are often worlds apart. Here's a case in point:
From Axis of Logic, a blog that clearly states its "Presuppositions and World View," there is video from Al Jazeera with this commentary: "Raw video by an Al Jazeera producer, who was filming during the raid, appears to provide evidence that the IDF opened fire on the flotilla even before boarding it."
