"Some people will tell you that slow is good-and it may be, on some days...but I'm here to tell you that fast is better. I've always believed this, in spite of the trouble it's caused me. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of a tube. That is why God made fast motorcycles ..." ~ Hunter S. Thompson

Huzzah!

Yes, the words Hunter wrote are true for me-dispite how long ago it was that I raced the Iron Horses around motocross tracks...I still get a thrill from the skilled concentrative effort it takes to go faster than anyone rightly should, and being considered sane after surviving it. I add, there is not time for Fear and Loathing, at Speed, WFO-That's Wide Full Open, to the uninitiated-only The Moment.

Hunter would know, he was shot out of a cannon.

    (Click, and Ribbit),

During my 68 years on this planet, I have had the pleasure of experiencing speed on a motorcycle in many ways, whether riding on the street, drag racing on a strip or dragging my feet in the dirt of a motocross or endurance race course. I have also experienced the unbelievable shock of hitting the ground at high speed and I have also come into contact with a tree while in a wheelie ( I have the scars to prove it) but I have to admit that your use of the words, "Wide Full Open", while certainly accurate and socially acceptable, are far less descriptive than those which I have been accustomed to hearing from my fellow riders in the past. "Wide F**king Open" gives the conversation so much more feeling, don't you think?

    With a wink,

Yeah, nothing makes me grin so hard and for so long that my face aches and cramps but motorcycles...The absolute rush they can provide isn't really available from many other sources.
