BP's so full of it the waves are brown.

I've lived near the ocean all my life and have never seen a wave that looked like this before. Not only is it brown, but it looks like gelatin due to the surface tension effects of the oil; interesting to look at, but not good to get in.

Orange Beach is now Brown Beach.

How do we express our anger over this ? I've walked and played along these beaches for over fifty years .
The old saying , A picture has a thousand words , comes to mind . How can I tell someone who has never walked those beaches , how heart breaking this is ?
Walking these beaches , is one of Gods tranquillizers . The sigh of the white dry sand , the wet hard sand , the surf , and sky .The sound of the slow tide rolling in every few seconds ,and the sound of the birds and people . The smell of the salt water . All taken away .
This picture tells me all of this is gone . You couldn't even stand on the beach and enjoy a sunset without looking at the water and thinking about the anger and loss . RON

Me to , and I'm a 62 year old man ,who has seen a lot of bad thing in life . Yes, this can make you cry .
I forgot to add how wonderful it feels to have the hot hot sand under your feet . How wonderful
it feels to be in the refreshing warm water push you around as the tide moves the water around you .
To close your mind to all lives troubles . To enjoy Gods tranquilizer .
May I live long enough to see it return to times past . To walk and enjoy the beaches again . RON

How upsetting to actually see the results of this BP disaster. Americans need to be bombared with visual reminders of what can happen to our environment and reminded that we need to invest our energies into finding alternative fuel sources. Also, does anyone else see an image of a face in the brown wave?

I see the face, clear as can be. This oil spill is a complete tragedy.

I see two faces in the wave . One facing left and a smaller one facing right .

The entire Gulf of Mexico coast is not going to be the same for years.

for images taken in South Alabama and Northwest Florida (USA) over the past several weeks.

The crude oil is a mess on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. Period.

Homo Sapiens have been on this earth for around 200,000 years. We have gained no wisdom in that period of time. We have had our chance and we blew it. We are a seriously flawed species. There are good and just people within the global population, but on an average we are a pitifully destructive and ignorant infestation of murderous fools. Humans do not deserve to live on this beautiful planet and we should be eliminated.

What are you saying CC195? We have gained wisdom, only its to hurt and destroy one another and everything in the name of greedy wants? We should be proud....not.
