Commuters pack tightly onto the 6 train at 59th street in New York on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. A stalled train on the express line between the Brooklyn Bridge and 14th St. caused delays and overcrowding during peak usage times Wednesday evening.

Passengers packed like sardines into crowded New York City subway

For as patient as I typically am with mass transit and the inherent delays that come with it, waiting over an hour for a train tonight was mildly frustrating. Thousands of customers were affected by the delay.

Only "mildly" frustrating? You must be a very patient man indeed, Mr. Woods.

NMTA, NMTA, lets ride the NMTA.

I love riding MTA when in NYC. I like listening to the recorded female voice that calls out the upcoming stops in a sexy voice, the way she says "Burrough Hall" is seductive, and the guy who says "Stand Clear of the Closing Doors" is iconic.

Good shot Jonathon; better late getting home than getting to work.

New yorkers today don't realize how good they have it . the old MTA back in the 60's and 70's was dirty with frequent delays.. back then comuters on the LIRR would spend a good part of their day just getting back and forth to work.
