I think everyone remembers some unplanned event, craziness or sometimes a tragedy that coincides with his or her wedding. For my husband and me, our caterer canceled three weeks beforehand, our DJ passed away, and we had two ambulances show up to tend to guests at our reception (one hip dislocation that was the result of shaking it on the dance floor and my grandmother's leg was deeply cut on a crate of glasses that she tripped over). Anyway, despite all of of that, we remember a beautiful day on which we were surrounded by family and friends to watch us tie the knot. I'm sure that this couple will long remember the fires and smog that were gripping their country as they celebrated their vows. What happened on your big day?

In this photo taken on Saturday, Aug. 7, a newly married couple shares a tender moment despite the deep layer of smog from wildfires covering the ancient Russian city of Ryazan. Nearly 600 separate blazes were burning nationwide Saturday, mainly across western Russia, according to the Emergencies Ministry, which said that the area impacted had increased over the past 24 hours. Hundreds of forest and peat bog fires have ignited amid the country's most intense heat wave in 130 years of record-keeping.
