A shower room in first class is pictured on the upper deck of an Emirates Airbus A380, after it landed at Manchester Airport in Manchester, north-west England on September 1, 2010. Manchester is the second airport in UK to start accepting the Airbus, after London Heathrow.

Q: Who says commercial air travel is awful these days?

A: Probably not the folks who can afford the $7840 for a first-class round trip flight from Dubai to Manchester.*

Stokes, you are right, I can't afford it.

This to me is what an airline would look like if it were owned by say, The Four Seasons, or a fancy cruise ship line. I do know people who fly in this sort of style and if's fine with me. I think airlines for The Rich, people with families and those with special needs is a good idea.

Actually, $7,840 is not that bad, especially if you are going on the vacation of a lifetime, why not?

I would like to travel that way, just once, to Australia, where I spend a lot of holiday time. It's a 13-16 hour flight on a good day, and it is murder in Coach!

Some companies allow their employees to travel in Business Class, which isn't too bad either. After they have accumulated some miles they can upgrade to First Class.

I'd like to see a picture of that bar area right after hitting a patch of turbulence. It's gonna be wall to wall olives up there!

Why can't we all sit in seats like that? Who's to say all Airlines should only provide a comfortable ride for only people paying a huge amount. All the planes could be equipped this way. That means we would have to build more planes, which means more jobs all the way round, and less grouchy customers!!!
