It's true, at least from what we have seen in Indiana, that the Tea Party is mostly made up of white folks. But there are people of color involved -- and some, like Emery McClendon, are in central organizational roles. (We'll come back to him in a future post). Other non-white people are attending, exploring, hovering around the edges to compare what is being said to what they believe.
"Exploring" would describe Ebony and Hursel Williams, who were seated near the back of the small crowd at a rally on Saturday in Indianapolis where Tea Party and related groups were protesting the health care package. The Indianapolis high-tech couple is questioning the beliefs they long held true. They have come, says Ebony, out of a sense that it is their Christian duty to explore and stand up for what is right.
"We've often been hoodwinked," says Hursel. "Things are often not as we were raised to believe," he adds, without being specific.
The Williams clap and nod as the speakers at the event emphasize the Christian foundations of the United States, and the speakers' interpretation of the Constitution.
"Constitutionalists stand for the little man and for what Christ stands for -- to be treated fairly, equally," says Hursel.
And about the charges of racism that surround the Tea Party movement, this is what he had to say:
"I had a preconceived notion (that they were racist)," says Hursel. "I have felt nothing but love and talk about Christ." He adds: "I would bring my children to this."
To be clear, Ebony and Hursel did not become card-carrying members of the Tea Party on Saturday. But they see possibilities.
"I would like to see it cause an awakening for people ... that people will seek truth," says Hursel.

The Liberal Left wants and needs racism to be the focal point of almost every issue. It empowers them much the same as it has benefited Reverends Sharpton and Jackson over the years making them both very wealthy in the process by extorting money through carefully orchestrated media threats of boycotts and picketing. Thank God that someone finally published an article which truly represents what is going on in America. The vast majority of whites, blacks, Asians and Latinos don't hate each other as the Left contends. Yes, you can show the world a handful of white, black, brown, yellow and green bigots but we can also see the droves of Americans who have grown up to despise racism and have very little tolerance for it. Preaching and teaching hate works both ways and the days of the Liberal Left dividing this country appears to be coming to an end! It just can't come soon enough!
A vote for the Party of No, Teapublicons, is a vote for a renewal of the Bush Recession/Depression of 2007.
Good luck with that.
Please admit the "conservative" extreme right preaching and teaching hate in this country appears to be coming to an end! It just can't come soon enough! Like you stated, it works both ways. Extremes create conflict. Christian love is the opposite of what they preach (Corinthians 1-13).
I agree, the vast majority of Americans (blacks, Asians, Native Indians, and Latinos) don't hate each other. Unscrupulous political candidates promote racism and hate to persuade us to donate to their campaign of hate and division. I yet do not understand why 20 or 30 percent of American Christians give their money and their time to politicians that only seek their own wellbeing at the expense of others.
We must merge the decent "Conservatives" with those those "Liberals"who defend individual liberty to overcome division and failure in America.
Like racism doesn't benefit political parties in general, you're intentionally blind if you can't see that. Your Sharpton/Jackson reference is a really weak and tired attempt to imply that only the "liberal left" (don't the two words mean the same thing?) uses orchestrated media threats of boycotts and picketing over "racism" to further their own ends. Then you bring God into this and give him credit for this article, of all things... I'll bet you say that whenever something reinforces your self serving beliefs... God must be on YOUR side right? Then you spout some complete hogwash about the "Left" contending that all races are in conflict and that young people know better as if to imply that you are actually one of these universally racism-free young saints. You just don't get it and you never will. The real conflict in America is not one of race, its between the ultra rich and the rest of us. There is a reason you never hear anyone on the "right" and hardly anyone on the "left" talk extensively about income disparity, and that reason is the entrenched interest of the ultra wealthy. I believe that in America it should get harder to get wealthy past a certain point. That would limit the incredible influence of lobbyists, bought and paid for politicians, large corporate interests and news networks that keep the "vast majority" of us stupid, scared, angry and divided against one another all for the benefit of the rich and powerful. Crushing generational poverty, lack of quality education, and a skewed and dishonest narrative from every politician you hear are the real problems we face, not some bogeyman from the left or right. You are a tool and so are your opinions.
You truly just don't get it... SMH. Tea Party=Blind Racist Bible thumping Republican....
Ummmm, have you not heard of Ron Paul and his rant against Blacks, Gays, etc.... He is not a Liberal. I am not sure what pipe you are smoking but please stick to the truth or at least return to High School and get more than just a GED.
Jimmie, I'd like to see footage of Ron Paul ranting against blacks. Can you link that, please? My search is coming up with nothing.
Read the original post, and then read the responses.
It's just astounding to me that the left wing haters think their hate is appealing to anyone that doesn't already hate.
Jac, have you not noticed that the Democrats are equally concerned about their own well-being at the expense of the American people? Why do you accept that from EITHER party, do you think there's something in it for you if you accept it from the Democrats that you won't get from the Republicans - like a tax payer funded handout?
Hey, Bee Gee? Are all Muslims terrorists? Are all jews cheap? Are all tea party members racists, up to and including the black couple pictured?
Face it, your lies are falling apart finally.
Gee Whiz Bee Gee in Minnie, Talk about blind! Generalize much? Your very own comment comes off as bigoted. I believe in a lot of what the Tea Party stands for, most importantly getting away from a two party monopolized vote buying apparatus that is fueled by mud-slinging and bait racing. They win and we lose! Wake up and think outside the box and not what you were indoctrinated to think and support blindly. My having any Tea Party beliefs does not in anyway equal, Bible thumping, racism or being a Republican. Your statement exposes your ignorance and hateful side! Hmmmmm....can anyone else in the room smell the hypocrisy?
Reading the more liberal posts today provide some insight into their mindset. Rather than being open minded and tolerant, they are close minded and intolerant.
Are there racists in the Tea Party? Certainly. Just as their are racists in both major parties, and every other political party. Racism is a part of th discourse, but it doesn't have to be a major influencer.
My take away from this couple was that they are open minded, they sound kind of conservative, at least in some core values, and they didn't let the fringe elements keep them from discovering people of like mind.
If name calling and bigotry are the best the fringe left has to offer, they will forever be fringe, and likely will be completely marginalized as they should be.
Ask yourself this question. If the government gave everyone in the US a million dollars would it be worth a million dollars? When you finally come to the reality of the answer, you will have discovered the meaninglessness of your argument. Not everyone can achieve or maintain wealth...That is capitalism and humanity, respectively...You think it is hard under free enterprise to earn wealth? Try socialism and communism where only government officials have access to wealth and the control to who it is or isn't dealt out to! Is that what you really want? LMAO!
Was that a response to my comment? I'm talking about the working poor whom you seem to think are simply lazy or somehow undeserving of a REAL chance at the pursuit of happiness. Income disparity has nothing to do with Government handouts or the value of money. My point was that over a certain point of excessive wealth in this country it gets a lot easier to keep getting wealthier... it really is a slippery slope once you can afford to pay experts to look after your money, hide it in tax shelters and so forth. Capitalism is supposed to be about the best reaching the top in spite of each step of the way getting harder... and yes some don't make it because they were not born into ideal circumstances of multigenerational wealth/education like perhaps you were. But I'm sure, from your evasive comments some meager amount of fairness in the tax code to place a heavier burden on those that can bear it would just be some fearsome socialist, communist thing to you. It seems like what you want is government to work only for you-- and anything or anyone else, is something expendable--fat to be cut away because it doesn't serve your selfish world view. Real and permanent change for the better in this country will come when arrogant LMAOing posers like you stop being tools for rich industrialists and Wall Street hedge funders who don't give a damn about anything except holding on to the power they have. Unless you are one of those quants yourself, in which case, DIAF for your dis-ingenuousness.

I guess you think Martin Luther King would have been a Republican? Get real. The Dems have a lot of problems but wholesale exploitation of the poor is not one of them. That is the main reason most educated people are liberal minded, and most media people are educated. Surprise, the media leans left. Of course they do, they are smarter that the average person. This is why the Republicans have sold themselves to the religious people. They are easier to fool.
You are living in denial stop lying to yourself.
Why have the libs become such name calling racists? It seems that if you don't agree with them, they call you names. They apparently do not want the rest of us to have the freedom to disagree with them anymore. It's not acceptable. If one television network out of the major 4 has a conservative streak, they totally go off, even though the other three have been liberal for years. What's the deal? Why do they get so upset if we disagree with them? That's the biggest difference between libs and conservatives. They used to be supporters of liberty, now they are very much against it. Why is that?

Nice try at yet another insult. Too bad you're a LONG way from being correct. I'm not going to use your type of immature "education comparison", because it would simply lower my standards to those of yours. But what I WILL say is that I am currently in my 5th year of college, quite intelligent, & not very easy at all to fool.
And oh yeah .... I'm also quite religious & generally a conservative Republican, although I do pride myself on voting for whom I believe to be the BEST choice, rather than along party lines. My entire 5 years of college have been at the same university, and will be for 1 more year. I have a very decent understanding of the general feelings of my 16,000+ fellow students.
A significant percentage of them share the same beliefs as I do .... or in other words, exactly opposite of what you claim. And just to clarify this point, before anyone jumps in with the comment, this university is NOT located right in the middle of the "Bible Belt" .... not even on the fringes.
We poor, uneducated, conservative, religious Republicans aren't quite as stupid as the evidently ignorant liberals as yourselve like to often claim. Have a nice day.
PragmaticToAFault
The only Democrats i support are against exporting jobs and against corporate crooks and crooked politicians. I am not a Democrat. Like I said, we must take whats good in all parties. If we continue to fight each other the puppet master will continue to be just that.
Tax payer funded handouts for Corporate America to export American jobs overseas is one other thing I do not understand. And why do 20 or 30 percent of American allege Christians give their money and their time to politicians that only seek their own wellbeing at the expense of others?
I do not believe the extreme left or the extreme right is good for anyone,
Why are the Libs into such name calling, you asked.
Because they cannot run on ideas or thier records, because they have failed. Time for a change.
Thank you for coming and seeing for yourselves. Don't buy what the liberal media is selling. They are a major reason that this country is in the shape that we are in.
Yeah riiiiiiight, it's the medias fault for all the problems in this country. Of course it's not 9 years of two wars, one of which was totally insane to start, all those tax breaks for corporate businesses and the wonderfully rich, bailing out the banks, allowing the auto industry to crash, allowing this country to fall in to the worst economic situation since 1929. Wow, things were pretty damn good when that Dem Clinton left office. Then it all fell off a cliff with the Republicans running the entire show.
Yeah, it's all the media. You really are retarded.
I thank you as well for coming forward and showing that a vote of dissent does not equal racism...
Wow, what a shock!...libbys have been saying that the "Tea Party" is made up of old, white klan members...and brian...you're from California so no one listens to what you have to say anyway...:p
Hey Fst....tea partiers are Republicans.........you think 2001-2008 was bad.....just wait until they get back in control......I don't want to hear any whining or complaining when nothing gets done for the next two years and beyond since the Republicans have all the right answers.
Not all conservatives are Republicans, Brian. Take the blinders off and maybe you'll start to understand that we're people just like everyone else. I guess you just suffer from a serious case of value rigidity.
Brian - think about what you're saying. We as a nation pay around $2.5 trillion annually in federal taxes - from income tax to corporate taxes, etc... and a total of nearly $5 trillion in all taxes paid.
90 years ago we paid zero federal income taxes. In 90 short years, with all the trillions in new revenue to the federal government, these idiots of all parties have overspent by approx $13 trillion, and the current gang are overspending by approx $1.3 trillion annually. 37% of the federal spending is borrowed money.
And you're blaming tax cuts?
The private sector creates all of the revenue. The government is confiscating a larger and large piece, to what result? A government filled with fraud, abuse, excess salaries, benefits, incompetence, and in some cases criminal theft (Bell, CA as an example).
Sorry, but your ridiculous position is just that - ridiculous. Our PROBLEM is our GOVERNMENT.
90 years ago we weren't a superpower, 90 years ago 7 year old kids worked in mills and people's life expectancy was about 50 decades.
As for the 13 trillion dollar debt - seeing how the republican party is responsible for about 9 of that 13 trillion (and I'm being VERY generous with that estimate) then one has to wonder why the tea party is so keen on returning the party repsonsible for the lions share of the debt to power....
But of course that presumes that the tea party isn't motivated by other, more base motives.
Oh - and this black guy from Indy - he works for Anthem. So his opposition to "obamacare" is far more suspect than if he didn't have a financial interest in getting it appealed.
I too would like to know when the Liberals became so mean and hateful. Anyone who disagrees with them is a racist, hick, homophobe, hillbilly, redneck, etc. Granted Obama has been called some horrible names, but so was Bush. The Liberal posters on these First Read/MSNBC are just hateful people, who can't accept that there are people out there that don't share their view. There a are a couple of Conservative posters who can get a little ugly, but by far it’s the liberals “Fiesty, Bev, Pat in Boston” , retired Navy, who are the first to resort in name calling. Why don’t you try to voice your opinion just once without calling someone a name like stupid, moron. It only shows your lack of intelligence
Granted, Obama won the election in 2008, and some people have been very vocal in opposition to him. Initially some members of the Tea Party did carry some horrible signs, but over the last few months they have greatly diminished. Everyone keeps asking where were these “Tea Partiers” during Bush. Perhaps they thought the war was a good idea, perhaps they agreed with Bush policies. But after the economic downturn they thought to themselves, enough is enough, I’m tired of seeing the my paycheck being ate up by more taxes. Maybe they thought, why is only half of the country paying all the income taxes?
It doesn’t matter why they got motivated, they did. Most members of the Tea Party don’t want to hurt anyone, why can’t they spout their views as Liberals, the NCAAP, NOW and other liberal organizations. Why is it only them who do not have Free Speech.
Everyone wants to be happy, they want a place to live, and be able to provide for their families. But we have to accept that there is always going to be someone who has a bigger car than you, a nicer house than you, and they don’t owe you anything.
Also, I’m sure that all of you are aware of the Presidential Commission to study ways to decrease the deficit will issue a report by the end of the year. It is a bi-partisan commission. What will those of you who don’t want to any change in Social Security going to do when the Liberals also say it has to have changes?
Brian C in CA-1809464, you're suspended for a day for violating #1 of the Code of Honor.
Majority of black folks in this country do not support these racist baggers. To have a handful of blacks who may support the tea party to try to spin as if the tea party movement is expanding to minorities a downright lie! Since the founding of this country, there have always been uncle tom sell outs in the black community. Stop misleading the public. 95% of blacks do not support the tea party.
This message is hateful and bigotry, just because a Black American does not follow suit and go along with what other Black Americans are saying they are an Uncle Tom, That is bigotry at it's best. I remember the NOW (National Organization for Woman) scream and yell and called woman who were happy being wifes and mothers and chose to not work outside the home as traitor's, weak, and misguided all along stating they were for equal rights for woman, How hypocritical.
There are black people who would sell the rest of us into slavery for the right price, so kiss our arses!
It is not hateful of bigoted. It is the truth. White folks need to stay out of the business of black folks because we don't get into your business. These toms are opportunists. Those tea baggers don't care about less government or less speding. They are only upset because we have a black president. They did not care when GW was in office. These sellouts need to go hang themselves point blank.
Lisa you are out of line. Yes you are a bigot. You are hateful and wrong. If those people choose to listen rather than "do as they have been told" WHY would you discourage that. I truly feel if MOST people, regardless of color were to actually LISTEN to each other rather than constantly shouting down each other, we might just learn that we all want the same thing. Or at least pretty close to the same thing. We all want to keep more of what we earn. We want fair treatment in society and the work place. We all want the government to work for OUR best interest, not special interest.....Stop the hating and shouting and pay attention. Ask questions and spend time listening to both sides before you make a decision on who you support. Why can't you just agree to disagree? I'm not part of the tea party, but I do support some of what they are for...but I'm not going to completely dismiss them just because the LEADER of my party and it's bigots tell me to! A truy leader would never ask you to dumb down and follow blindly. Wake up....and stop hating!
You can call me a bigot all you want. But for the first time in my life, I am finally seeing many white people for the racist bigots they are. Call me a bigot I dont care. Its time for black people to come to the realization that intergration does not work. Black people need to create their own opportunities and stay in our own neighborhoods.
Pretty ignorant Lisa to attempt to speak for the 95% you speak of just to support your weak boigoted opinions ....shame on you!
..... after reading more from Lisa .... I take back thebigoted opinion comment ..... she is racist
It is so funny to see people try to hide behind this movement and try to use "real" reasons for doing so. Hating you say?? Stop fooling yourself....we see you <Emperor With No Clothes> lol....you want people to ask questions? Here are a few "questions" to answer....Where was all of this concern when this "bullshizzle" was going on during the Republican dominated years? Where was all of this "grass root Conservative Christian concern" when the Republicans were running this economy into the ground? Where were they when the Constitution was being "crapped" on and given a name like the "Patriot Act"? Where were they when the "war deficits and shady contract dealings of Haliburton-Rove-Cheney were literally raping this country financially and they intentionally turned a blind eye? And now a good one....where were they when they had a chance to enact or at least force consideration of "The Fair Tax" the most common sense suggestion I have heard of and have been a supporter of since Boortz first started preaching it? Really where were you then? I can ask several more but apparently the "Tea Party" bigots are masquerading behind "concern" when it really appears that they are indeed extremely angry that this Negro got out of line and did not stay in his place. Bob Barr had it right from the beginning and was ostracized by the Re "pubic" lans for calling the truth. Honestly if you take a look back and answer just those few questions honestly...remember truth hurtz....
What do you know about black folks. Probably never met a black person. I live with my people, go to church with my people, shop with my people. Most of my people hate the tea baggers and the republicans. Lets see how many vote for them on Nov 2nd!
Wow, Lisa Hampton, you've won me over to your way of thinking with your enlightened, intelligent ideas, and your eloquent, sophisticated expression of your rational thoughts. What a fool you are.
and again to those of you calling her a bigot........It is so funny to see people try to hide behind this movement and try to use "real" reasons for doing so. Hating you say?? Stop fooling yourself....we see you <Emperor With No Clothes> lol....you want people to ask questions? Lisa Hampton
I love black women, they are so beautiful. I love blonds and redheads also. Lets all love each other. Lisa, hate is a disease. It's not going to improve your live. It is true we all need to create our own opportunities.
...and that's not to give credit to anyone who is not getting up off of their butt to take an active part in creating and shaping their own destiny. I don't ask for "shizzle" because I firmly believe in my own ability to make my own way. And by that I mean any politician/activist whose only legacy is "marching/walking/stirring up" instead of empowering and encouraging freedom by way of self analysis and active participation/engagement in "thine own destiny's"..lol.. architecture is nothing short of the real puppet/overseer in concert with the "puppeteer" whose goal is to manipulate by any means necessary to maintain the real reasons behind the madness and it has nothing to do with race....maybe class/status??
I am what I consider to be an independent, I am liberal on social issues and conservative on fiscal issues. I am a white male (47) that has been involved with African Americans all my life. I was married to an African American female for almost 15 years and have 3 beautiful daughters with her. And I happen to know a lot of black republicans(both male&females). And I would never consider them Uncle Tom's. Just people who have different opinions on some issues than I happen to have.
I thought we were all Americans with the right to our own opinions.
Not anymore, sharon. Not since POTUS was elected.
We were headed that way, and millions of people including myself cheered at the election of a black man because we thought that would FINALLY, for once and for all, put an end to this notion that white America hates and wants to keep down black America. I'm sure there are a small percentage of white Americans for which this is true, but the vast majority No way.
And what we got was black America and liberals telling us we were racists for disagreeing with POTUS. That the only reason we oppose his policies was because he's black. Agree with POTUS, or else you're a bigot. Were America as racist as they like to think, he would never have been elected in the first place but now we're to shut up and never argue.
No, we're NOT entitled to our opinions according to the left.
Black America keeps themselves down, and Lisa is an example of that. She has decided to hate white America and thinks that's going go solve something for her. It won't.
ThaTruthHurtz,
Where were you when Obama continued giving the large contracts to Haliburton? Didn't see that in the news did you? You read Boortz? Obviously you missed all of his articles in reading assignments about that one! It's bad and inexcusable when it happened under Bush. Used as a club to pound the Republicans, but perfectly acceptable when Obama continues to enter into new contracts to this day. I guess ignorance is bliss.
Kudos though to you on support for FAIR TAX a stand-alone, non-partisan issue that benefits ALL Americans, regardless, race, income, party affiliation, religious beliefs, etc..... This is truly the only change we can all believe in.
Everyone on this post should take the time to learn more about it. Do not believe the lies that the politicians spew about it. Go directly to the source: Fairtax.org, buy Neal Boortz' books and educate yourself about something that will truly "revolutionize" our country and benefit us all.
Name calling is the only thing left when you are out of ideas. Since the great liberal ideas have utterly failed, out come the angry liberals.
You can spew until your head explodes, it won't change the fact that people who love freedom want less government. Your liberal experiment has failed. From schools to welfare to bailouts to world peace, what we have is the most inefficient, ineffective, irresponsible, corrupt, bloated bureaucracy in the history of our nation.
You / we have blown all the money, piled up debt like a stupid college kid, and now we have to pay the bills. Grown ups are needed, and are missing from the DC landscape.
FloridaNative..."surely you jest"...lol of course I saw it in the news....thoroughly hated it and unlike most I can completely agree that THERE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH BLAME ON BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLES..... Unfortunately though if the "grass roots masses" had taken "that" as serious as they are taking this current administrations complete and utter slaughter of common sense fiscal responsibility then I would also venture to say that we would not be in as deep. I think we all can agree that when he took office this thing was already spiraling out of control hence the Bush stimulus to try and stem the flow of blood. For once I would love to see Washington do simple root cause analysis before shoving crap down our throats....but hey... they are just "bought and paid for" politicians right? signed - still an independent but Bob Barr, Fair Tax supporter. :)
When 95% (your number) of any group of people can be pigeonholed, it starts to sound like a herd mentality. I certainly hope you are not saying blacks can be herded by Jackson, Sharpton, et al. My fellow postal employees who are black, are much smarter than that. They think for themselves and some are more conservative than even me. When the curtain is pulled at the voting booth, we are all free to vote our conscience, and should. Not what some 'community leader' or union leader tells us to.
Black people are unique and have gone through unique situations in this country. On Nov 2nd how many black people will vote Republican? Maybe 10. Stop bringing up Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Most black folks don't listen to them anymore. There time has passed. It is the KKK republican party which is keeping black people loyal to democrats.
Lisa, you asked how many black people we know. Well, honestly there aren't that many that live in my area, but the ones who do I find to be very good people and I enjoy their company. I'll admit, before I went to college I had probably only spoken to a handful of black Americans and I really didn't know how to act. However, my freshman year in college about 25% of my floor consisted to black students. I think it took about 5 days to consider those guys friends of mine. Its funny, but they were just like me. We liked sports, women and having fun and we all got along very well.
Furthermore, I have meet black people who are ass holes, but I have also meet white people who are ass holes. There are ass holes everywhere. It doesn't matter what race you belong to.
Now my question to you. How many white people have you meet and actually got to know? My guess is not many, if any. I think you have too many pre-conceived notions about other races.
For the record, I would vote for a black man/woman in a heart beat if he shared my same political views. I don't care where he is from or what race. If you put Bill Clinton against Condi Rice, I would vote for Condi.
Lisa, You are popular it seems. I have a question for you. If you do go to church, why would you vote for the party that is against what the church stands for? You go to church and are pro choice....hmmm makes me wonder about your credibility. Your comments are not helpful to your race. I have black friends and they do not push the race card. You could have friends of different races too if you just looked at each person as a person.
Lisa,
Sounds to me like you are a racist and bigot
Race generalizations and deathwishing are pretty malicious. Lisa Hampton, you're suspended for a week for violating #5 - and later, #1 -of the Code of Honor.
millerz, cut it out. Don't do this again.
Always trying to spin this along racial lines? Why can't they be just people who believe in a political philosophy, no matter if you agree with it or not.
In other words... they're not making it a racial issue, so why are you?
LIBERAL media?!? What a scam you have with those accusations. The media has become more and more CORPORATE ... Corporate media = CONSERVATIVE media. You may have had a case 30 years ago, but today's media is overwhelmingly CONSERVATIVE.
Â
Secondly, the "fair and balanced" (HA! What a crock!) Fox News is the major reason our country is the shape that it is in. Propaganda is NOT news.
What an assanine statement. Fox News doesnt have anything to do with the way our country is.. The politicians are the reason we are in the shape we are in. P L E A S E!!!!
Media by and large has ALWAYS been liberal left ....... too bad you have no clue on what you attempt so poorly to speak of ........ what they offer is propaganda from the point of view of the people that own them ....... balanced is not just FOX News .... it is people who refuse to belive any of it in total, it is people who are not stupid and lazy to look at it all, sift through it and make up their own minds ...... too bad most of you dont fit that mold ....... it is that is what is really wrong with this country.
Fox is ONE of the major reasons. They were willing dupes in the big Bush lies that have helped the Iranians get what they want in Iraq and Afghanistan. The trillion dollars wasted there could be useful now and Obama would not have to spend all his time shoveling to dig us out of the biggest 8 year mistake in American history.
The Dems are not guiltless as they fell for the line of bull put forth by Bush, Cheney, Rove and Rumsfeld through their mouthpiece Powell. I only feel sorry for Powell as I think he trusted the others. Big mistake, and it has cost thousands of Americans their lives.
Once people can come to grips with that truth the Tea Party will be no more and the real clear thinking Americans will take control and help people like Obama right the ship.
If the dems "fell" for a line, what does that say about their intelligence and their fitness to govern a Country?
Many Democrats were speaking of the need to "address" Iraq before Bush "fooled" anyone. Deal with this fact; many prominent Democrats agreed with the war in Iraq (before they didn't) no matter what they said to their liberal base. The bottomline is the resolution of the war in Iraq did not move as quickly as most hoped it would and their constituents complained about it.
FYI: I am a Conservative who believed in the war in Iraq, but I believe Rumsfield made some very poor choices that led to the length of the war.
What planet are you living on? If you can't follow the Liberal dialect and conversation on stations like CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC then maybe you can follow the dollars in campaign contributions. Money always tells the story. Nice try though!
Obama, Democrats got 88 percent of 2008 contributions by TV network execs, writers, reporters UPDATED!

Senior executives, on-air personalities, producers, reporters, editors, writers and other self-identifying employees of ABC, CBS and NBC contributed more than $1 million to Democratic candidates and campaign committees in 2008, according to an analysis by The Examiner of data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics.
The Democratic total of $1,020,816 was given by 1,160 employees of the three major broadcast television networks, with an average contribution of $880.
By contrast, only 193 of the employees contributed to Republican candidates and campaign committees, for a total of $142,863. The average Republican contribution was $744.

These contributors are now probably disappointed with President Obama and the Democrats. I was one of many who believed he was going to make everything better. President Obama is a smart politician. Do not expect to much from him, the democrats, the republicans, the TP, or Mrs. S. P.
DO NOT EXPECT ANY CHANGE FROM ANYONE OF THEM.
Their is not such thing as a "Liberal Media". This is all a "dog and pony show".
The Washington Examiner is a joke like the Washington Times. Maybe they should be called the Washington FoxNews!
Cleareye, the burden of proof now falls on you to prove that report wrong. Just because you don't trust it doesn't mean it is not correct.
The liberal agenda has done more to harm the black community than any thing resembling racism, it has encouraged young blacks not to participate in the system, if they do they are called "uncle toms" or some other degrading name! The "entitlement theme" put forth by "race baiters" like Sharpton and Wright help destroy the real message, which is that blacks now have the ultimate entitlement and that is their right to participate in the American system which gives all individuals the chance to seek their own level according to desire and work ethic!
"This Country hasnt had a decent President since Ronald Reagan" says R. Auberger
Good grief! You can track the demise of our economy to the date in 1981 when Reagan moved in. Trillions of deficits, but lots of extremely wealthy "defense" contractors (Cheney!) and other already rich do nothings getting richer. We would have been far better off with Carter again as the only prosperity producing president since Carter is Clinton! Obama will hold his own eventually after he cleans up the Bush mess. Reagan was a simple minded puppet, nice guy, meant well, but he had no concept of what was going on. The S&L debacle is only the beginning. To top it off he allowed back stabbers like O. North to work in the White House undermining the country.
Will you please explain what you are talking about? I am African American and the liberal media does not influence me. I am very capable of making up my own mind. Are you African-American?
The above comment by "kpokeefe" are a diversion from the truth. The republican/tea party is and always has been a sanctuary for racist bigots, and they are successful because they do it in the name of GOD. He knows very well that both Reverend Sharpton and Jackson are necessary in protecting the interests of minorities who are stomped on by this so-called tea-party. These folks would like to have us believe that slavery is a myth and Native Americans killed themselves off by alcoholism.
Guess Lincoln was a racist...keep those negroes in chains....are you that ignorant or just so into your rant you make up facts to fit your desires?
The party with a KKK member was the Democrat party, not the Republican party. Your racists are worse than our racists. Robert Byrd. Former Klansman. When you hurl insults, you should at least try to be accurate, unlike your leaders.
The original Republican Party was more like the Democrats of today. The 19th century and early 20th century southern Democrats were indeed racists. Most of those seats are now held by Republicans. How did that happen I wonder?
By the way, the idiots shirt in the photo says Defend Freedom.....what freedom is he worried about losing? He afraid that Obama is going to allow slavery to rear it's ugly head again? He and his wife are fools.
Typical liberal. If you disagree with a liberal you are a fool. You folks really know how to teach tolerance.
Not one word that was quoted by these educated people was the least bit insulting - but Brian, without knowing them can pass judgment on their thoughts and beliefs.
This is the very definition of bigotry.
Yeah that's right paul....if you have a different thought you're a racist. Better that than a retard like you.
Brian, just so you know, I've reported your previous COH violations and I'm reporting that last one as we speak.
I strongly urge all other posters here NOT descending into calling people "retards" and "morons" and "idiots" to do the same. Easily done, go to your column on newsvine and at the very bottom there is a link for "contact us". Click that, a screen will come up. Include a link to the vine itself, and the text.
Brian epitomizes the reason that I am becoming increasingly disillusioned with my party, the Democrats. They claim to be tolerant, but are intolerant of anything and anyone who disagrees with their ideas and views. It's disheartening, and the reason that I am starting to self-identify as an Independent, as the Republican party is often openly intolerant, and that just will not do either.
Its people like u that keep racism alive. GET OVER IT!!! People are not upset becuz Obama is a black president.. They are upset becuz he has not held true to most everything he campaigned on. He is in over his head and thats all there is to it..
This coming from the same bunch who enabled GW and his cronies to eff up the country and the economy, and then pass the problem on to his predecessor
Hmmm Ok so Bush didnt do such a great job.. Lets see, Obama has been in office for 2 years now. What the F has he done for our country? Also, he knew what he was getting into when he ran for the office. Agree? If he didnt want to deal with the problems, he should have stayed his butt in Illinois. He has done nothing for us.
Hey you moron Laura, welcome to reality. You really think the Republicans are going to do everything they are saying now? If you truly believe that then you are the one being duped. You morons expected miracles in 2 year, hell you expected miracles in 6 months. After things weren't Shang Ri La you were ready to get rid of Obama. * years of insanity and chaos cannot be fixed in 2 years. When this country goes all the way over the cliff thanks to the Republicans you'll say to yourself......DAMN!!! what the hell happened?
Hey Laura, Bush couldn't even run an MLB team in Texas what made anyone ever think he could run a country? You get what you vote for. Talk about someone in over his head.
Laura you are a big liar!! Obama did not break his campaign promises. He has tried to work with the GOP, but their racist behinds cannot see past his skin color. I am sick of people like you.
Lisa, please don't embarrass yourself anymore by talking .... you are so out of touch with reality that you come off as a flamer, a troll looking to just stir things up with your stupidity.
The last item in the news from just a few days ago he stated himself that the "shovel ready projects" he spoke of and used to force that 787 billion dollar stimulus package was just that .... a lie he created to get it, he made it up, lol. Even when he says it him self people like you Lisa refuse to accept it.
Not raising taxes was a lie, ObamaCare is full of lies and the unemployment under 8% was a lie ...... even if it wasn't a intentional lie, it was his gross mismanagement, incompetence and ignorance that allowed these things to become a perceived lie.
Your obvious hatred of anyone not black is a problem and your racist comment are horrible ...... please wake up and realize its people like you who are the problem, not the solution ...... if I remember correctly, it was Obama that said with full control of Congress and Senate that he would have the most ethical, transparent administration ever and HE would make sure that race issues would be something of the past and that he would help lead us all into the futuree of better race relations ........ HA, another lie !! All he has done is make it much worse than it has been ..... maybe as bad as it was in the 60's
Grow up girl and heal your soul
Look, I don't live for anyone but myself. I could care less what you or anybody thinks. All I know if the teabaggers and the right wing nuts get control of the congress, there will be a modern day lynching of Obama. Race relations will not only get worse, but It will be a race war. Black people are not going to stand by and let bigots hurt Obama.
Hey Auberger.....you're the one who needs a reality check. What have the Republicans done to show they really want to work with Obama and get this country out of the hole that they themselves put us in? You bring up the stimulus package? How about the bailing out of the banks? That was a total joke......who did that? Hmmmmmmmm.......it's on the tip of my tongue......oh yeah.....Bushy. Also let's make sure all the damn illegals can keep going in to the ER's of this country for free which caused my insurance premiums go up once again. Yeah let's not make it reality that you don't need to go to the damn ER for a runny nose.
Funny how all the problems are Obama's fault when in reality he inherited them from 12 years of Republican rule.
Another ignorant comment .... just because a President was Republican does not mean he had a Republican Senate and Congress silly boy ....... before you speak, make sure you got your facts straight.
Now with Obama it WILL be remembered this way, he DID have full control of ALL 3 houses and still couldn't get anything good accomplished except to divide the country and lose millions more jobs, and waste billions in tax dollars that will take decades to pay off ..... Obama has put this nation on the brink of collapse and you Obama-zombies can do is point fingers and stir up more trouble. To bad you and he cant grow up and learn to take stock and responsibility for your own actions and deal with the consequences
Obama has put this country on the brink of collapse? really? Who was President when 700,000 jobs a month were being lost? Not Obama. Who was President when the housing collapse started? Not Obama. Who was it that wasted Billions on a war in Iraq for no reason what so ever? Not Obama. Who was President when the banks needed bailing out? Not Obama. In all, who was President when this country came oh so close to the Depression of 1929? Hello? Hello? Bush and the mighty Republicans.
Lisa Hampton,
No one is hurting Obama. He is hurting himself. He has not followed through on a multitude of promises that he knew he could not keep. He has surrounded himself with a lot of incompetents who are now bailing ship just before the elections. His rhetoric is angry and always pointed at those with opposing views. He has not learned the art of compromise which is necessary for any man (regardless of color) during negotiations. His successful election to Presidency will be one of the greatest historical moments of this country. He was not put into office by just people of color. You have no exclusive rights to him being in the White House. A lot of the white people you rail against stood shoulder to shoulder with you and voted for him. Sadly he has squandered all of its potential by not doing the right thing by all the people and instead has focused only on his own personal agenda. His greatest failure was not listening to all Americans. You mistakenly blame his unpopularity on his skin color, shame on you! He is simply not a good president.
R. Auberger is unfamiliar with how our government works it seems. The President is the executive, he runs things on a day to day basis. He can spend or not spend within the rules set by Congress. Bush could care less about any of that. All he had to do was play the "sky-is-falling" card and do what he wanted (actually what Cheney wanted) and it was done. The Republicans sat on the butts and let it happen. The Dems were mostly afraid of the reaction if they opposed a war.
Its a little more complicated than that. The president is not a dictator. His office is no more powerful than congress or the judicial branch. If congress grants the president certain powers, then he can act accordingly, otherwise if congress doesn't agree with his policies, it can veto any bill the president signs and visa versa.
Three branches, each will equal power to create checks and balances. The president doesn't have limitless power.
If you really want to dig up history, Bush inherited a crappy economy and a recession from the Clinton admin. He turned it around rather quickly.
Brian, before you make a make any more embarrassing comments, you do know that Obama voted to bail out the banks right?
LAURA Give the man a break. Evidently you didn't vote for him because if you did, you would realize that the man has not been in office two years yet. I would hate to think what would happen if Mccain and company gotton in.
The Tea Party is about freedom and responsibility, the core tenants of a Representative Democracy - the opposition comes from people who are bound government for their livlihood in some way, shape, or form. Their arguments against the Tea Party are not based on facts or reason, but on fear and lies.
The Tea Party zombies are Republicans. It's not a new party. Are you really that stupid?
Brian, you are right. Great argument by the way. You are so smart. Maybe I should rethink my position. Thank you for the rich insight. Ugh!
Well Dizzy, I try to make things as easy for your little mind as possible. I know the truth hurts.
A nice concept but not accurate. The face appears to be that, but is actually a bought and paid for, well managed power grab by a few billionaires that want to be trillionaires. PT Barnum would gloat today.
Do you guys really think that anything in politics isn't "paid for" by people who want to be in power? Brian, you are an idiot. Seriously, what...maybe 21? Do you even have a job? Or maybe work for the government, and are trying to keep a useless job?
Brain, you are right. The new Republican party isn't really new. The last eight years was the new Republican party. They strayed from their roots and started big spending programs that were unsustainable. The new Republican party that you are speaking of is a throw back to the true conservatism. Believe me when I say, if they start down the same path as the last Republicans in power, they won't hold their seats very long.
There have been a lot of old republicans that lost their primary bids to new conservatives. Haven't you noticed that?
Its too bad the democrats don't do the same thing. You just keep voting in the same people year after year.
So you found two people of color who are tea partiers, LOL! they can go back to there masters house.
How rude
Out of line.
Why do u dislike the tea party?
Although it started as a libertarian organization, it has been co-opted as a political cudgel for the ultra rich-- like the Koch brothers for example. Meanwhile, those newly within the organization seem oblivious as long as the new leaders of this organization (like that moron Palin for example) feeds them a steady supply of bogeymen to rail against... there is nothing constructive about what the tea party has become. Now its just filled with disillusioned republicans looking for ANYONE to tell them they haven't been proven wrong by the last election so they can scream and wail and play the righteous victim as loudly and uncivilly as possible. That's why I think the tea party is a cruel and moral free joke.
Your entire tirade falls apart because of the following: do you have the same objections to GEORGE SOROS as you have to Koch? He's been funding Democrats and left wing groups for years, but I'm sure that was A-okay with you, right?
What is most disgusting is the blatant contempt in which you hold your fellow Americans, and the digustingly elitist tone most liberals take. You're just so much smarter than the stupid tea party members, aren't you, and you know SO much better what's for everyone's best interest.
Guess what. You're not smarter and you have no idea what's in anybody's best interest besides maybe your own and maybe not even that.
It would be so refreshing if people on the left could get off their high horse, and recognize the rights of other people to disagree with them without becoming insulting and uncivilized. I'm not holding my breath.
Because some other rich guy gave money to a bunch of other politicians I wasn't talking about, that somehow makes my whole "tirade" fall apart? Really? The democratic party didn't just pop into existence and prominence when GWBush left... that was the Tea Party. Also, I never said or implied that I was smarter. I called Tea Partiers uncivil, and TOOLS of the rich-- which in the media they have been. Someone has a serious inferiority complex. I didn't do that to you. No one can make you feel like an idiot except yourself.
Yes, it does make your arguement fall apart, because you call the tea party "corporate tools" because the receive contributions from a rich guy.
If you can say that Soros doing the same exact thing DOES'T make the Democrats corporate tools, then fine. How long they may have existed is irrelevant. Funding is funding. If it makes the tea party tools, it makes Democrats tools.
I have no inferiority complex. I'm simply disgusted with Democrats and liberals and really wish they could be civil. That's all. Sorry if you're having trouble understanding that.
@PragmaticToAFault
What specifically did I say that was uncivil in any way?
Just got back from church and read these comments. Some of these folks belong there instead of watching their computers on Sunday morning. Left wing bigotry has got to stop.
"uncle tom sell outs in the black community"
I always chuckle when I see someone use "Uncle Tom" as being an insult. May I suggest actually reading the book, or a synopsis? Uncle Tom was an heroic character, and very far from being a sellout. He was beaten to death for refusing to divulge the whereabouts of two runaways.
And while we are on this topic, the N-word is a result of ignorant people who were unable to pronounce the latin word Negro.
Also, realtalk, the n word was not meant as an insult. It was used for the word negro, the same as we use 'black' or 'white' today.
What about the word "nigra?" All this hooey about words is pointless.
What counts is the contents of the individual's character.
Lisa, you are bigotry at its worst and why there is a division between races. I thought we were all Americans??? Did you forget A. Lincoln was a Republican? Do you really think that Obama has made this a better country for Americans, black or white? If you are employed, do you believe that your tax money should fund generations of people who have every opportunity for an education and a job? Do you believe we should have more laws that most of us can barely understand? Fiscal responsibilty has no color but GREEN!
Stop with your fake concerns about divisions between the races. The Republican party of Lincoln is dead. Those republicans don't exist anymore. They have been hijacked by the KKK. I hate the republican party of today. If I could, I would spit in their faces!!
Lisa Hamilton must learn hw to control herself under fire. No one should spit in anyone's face!
Wow Lisa,
How about caring about people—period...ya know "where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
You, seeing people only in terms of black or white, reveals your bigotry. Why all the hate?
Voting for Obama JUST BECAUSE he's black, is just as bad as voting against him for the same reason. Neither one addresses issues and the presidency is not a popularity contest.
BTW, it was Southern Democrats that resisted the end of slavery if that's your beef.
Here's a little "wake-up."
I'm black, and I've been voting for Presidents for 40 years, up until 2008, there was no choice, two white guys nominated, take your pick, and hold your nose. You were feeling good all those years, right, but low and behold, a man of color was nominated in 2008, fu%k*d up your world, didn't it, not by what's happening, but because of his color, and the First Lady, hell, ya'll can't stand her either.
campychick please! Black people have been voting for white politicians over black ones forever. Bill Clinton received the same level of support from black people. How dare you say black people voted for Obama because he was black. Do you think if Al sharpton ran against Hillary, black people would vote for Sharpton. The answer is no. The reason why most black people will never vote for the republicans because they are now wearing white sheets. A cracker is still a a cracker regardless if it is a saltine or a ritz. Point blank.
You know am truly sorry for the past slavery issue and racism in this country. Seriously. Am not in your shoes as 'black', but there ARE other minorities in the U.S. besides being black—partly what makes this country so wonderful. The vast majority of people are not racist against me—or you—though of course, it exists.
Racism is NOT unique only to this country. It's a human condition all over the world. But your hateful vitriol seems to want to continue the drama, to avoid having to examine issues.
Obama could not have been elected on just the black vote, so think about that one, and contrary to your assumption, 'a man of color' did not fk up my world. But the ruling class—both conservative and liberal, both white and black—are using all of us to keep themselves in power. Obama will come and go as president, but the stronghold of the beltway crowd who wants to keep the average guy under their thumb, is something we all should pay attention to. Read history...stop the hate (it's a distraction they use against us)...and pay attention.
campychick, don't be sorry about the past lavery issue - how would a black loser like Lisa justify her living off the white people of today?
These two idiots vote against there own best interests clearly because they beleive in some super-natural all power god will make all thing right. Most importantly we should ask them who they voted for in the last 3 elections? I bet my paid off house they voted like everyone with narrow minded views and opinions about everyone else that doesn't believe like they do. Give me a break?! they might be African Americans and i know by polling that there are some 9 or 12% of them voting for the bigoted white guys over and over again because they aren't really informed beyond their own narrow mindedness. Â
Throughout my country’s history of racism we have always had a few victims of that racisim denying that it exist. I don’t understand neither do I have to understand it but I do have to accept that this is reality in my country. If the Tea Party were ever to gain power these few blacks would find themselves cleaning toilets and sweeping floors because the “party” would no longer need their token presence to establish legitimacy! And.....YES I am a Black man, Viet Nam era, Honorbly Discharged Veteran so I have earned the right to offer my opinion!
You have a movement of millions, and you parade a few photos of a couple of black folks, and you believe that squelches racism? Please. Where I live, in the state of Mississippi, these "tea baggers" are straight out racist. I know of three "white" homes close by, who completely removed their American flags flying outside, the "day after" Obama was elected. I've lived here my whole life, and have never, ever, seen any of them do that.
Remember, the "founding fathers" are the ones who damn near eliminated the Native Americans, just as the white Europeans damn near eliminated the "Aborigines" in Australia.
I agree that the Government controls the masses by divide and conquer. Keep the races at odds with one another and you can sell them anything. Look at all of the stink about gay marriage. Who really cares? The country is being systematically sold out by our representatives in Washington and what is the great distraction "gay marriage." Billions of dollars of illegal drugs are coming across our borders, murders of American Citizens right on our southern border and what is the big distraction " sue Arizona for passing a Bill that will racially profile Hispanics." The Attorney General has sworn to arrest "pot smokers" in California if the state legalizes marijuana. Mr. Attorney General why don't you get off of your ass and go after some real criminals? But then who would pay for the election campaigns? As Harry Houdini said, "if your watching my left hand, you won't see what my right hand is doing." Washington is a flim- flam show. America we need to take back our country! I was a party Republican for over thirty-five years and George Bush put an end to that for me. Obama promised change if the Dems were put back in power. But the only change in Washington is the color of the President. It's still politics as usual. America unite! Stand up and be heard! If the government won't fix the country, then the citizens need to fix the government. Let's boot out the incumbents, limit terms in Washington, and do away with the huge pensions that our politicians recieve after only a few years in office. They're bleeding this country dry. No time like the present to make a change. May God Bless America and save us from the vultures!
"...it is their Christian duty..." ?? Christianity is another thing American politics can do without. Separation of church and state folks. We really need to make that our number one priority.
Maybe you to can at least have truth on your lips when you speak .... don't attempt to speak a mistruth and believe we will accept your version .... your a weak person with nothing valid to say .... so you put that comment out ... your a joke.
Separation of Church and State was to insure that the State never again interfered with the public ability to practice their faith and to establish a State appointed Church ....... only perverts of the Constitution would attempt to make it to be that there is to be no connection at all between them ..... some people need to learn history and get their facts straight.
Ok. However, Christianity has slithered into our government and our public schools where it DOES NOT BELONG and is not welcomed.
You mean not welcomed by you. The majority of Americans don't want public schools teaching Christianity, but the majority would like to see the values taught at least.
I think church and the parents should teach about God and the bible, not the schools. But it doesn't hurt to live by those values.
You should be ashamed of yourselves, do you want to back to being slaves? All that christian bull@!$%# that you hear from your @!$%# head pastors and politicians who are anti gay, anti minorities (unless they are black) are full of judgment and hate. So all of you titsunes can go to hell! Who's going to pay for your medical bills if you don't have healthcare or jobs, the witch from Delaware, the chicken lady from Nevada, the Nazi from Ohio or the mafioso from NY ? Christ didn't preach divisiveness, hate, prejudice, judgement and helped everyone with uncondiccional love. These T-Party people are wolves in sheep's clothing and prey on people like you....stupid ignorant idiots. You hear the word christian and you think is all good and holy. Think again!! You'll be sorry!!
Dude, please watch your language...
Joseph...You are correct!!! The truth is where was this "third" party movement before this country elected a black president? All of a sudden "someone" took their country and they want it back! Well you should have been thinking about that when the previous 43 presidents slowly sold this country off to the highest bidder - first Japan then China.
Now here are all these people of color wanting to stand with the tea party to prove they are conservative and open minded - well let's see how open minded they are when we're placed back on an actual plantation or forced to live on the reservation with our Indian brothers & sisters all in the name "christianity." Isn't that how it all started in this country anyway? Inslave b/c God wasn't talking about the Negro when he stated all man was created equal....He couldn't have been talking about the Negro b/c they are not men...they're animals. Those were the words of the "Christian Slave Owners" who taught us to hate ourselves as well as others like us in the name of christianity.
Well the GOD I serve is a God of Love for ALL (Dem/Repub/TeaParty/hetro/homo/local ho/...A FORGIVING GOD...And a God of NO Party b/c He knows mankind is evil.
Your all a bunch mindless zombies to begin with.....Yeah keep on believing your precious two party system is the only way. Keep on believing that no third party could or should exist in this country. America is land full of TOOLS and sheep. The Tea Party has ZERO Balls to begin with because their Republican Masters make sure they keep it that way. As for Minorities I would like to point that these two Black individuals live in the SUBURBS so that right there explains their political views. Yeah someone from the Tea Party point out to me the last time you guys were in the Hood's and Varrios in the inner cities of this country??? Yeah that's what I thought.
Tucan-you are an idiot.
Your article makes no sense, is just repeating stupid catch-all statements someone told you.
Please get a life, buddy.
The article clearly stated the couple was exploring, curious and stood at the back of the convention. It went on to say all they heard were religious testimonies which they agreed. From my perspective there is nothing wrong with that.
What they aren't seeing is, they are, like so many other people espousing to this faux movement, are being manipulated in the name of religion. Don't have to say more blood has been shed for religion than Carter has pills, and what does God have to do with religion. Tea partiers are being sold a lie wrapped in a little truth at the right time in American history, and the Republican party is riding a wave of ignorance all the way to the bank.
Ron in Seattle, "Tea partiers are being sold a lie wrapped in a little truth at the right time in American history, and the Republican party is riding a wave of ignorance all the way to the bank".
Excellent factual post. I couldn't have said it any better myself. :-)
