This Marine sniper is armed with a .50 cal rifle. He can reach out and touch someone who is 20 football fields away. And its effects are devastating.

      Happy Hunting, Devil Dog.

You should remove these pictures immediately! You are providing the enemy with the location of our snipers.

        You're joking, right?

        Also, give 'em hell, Marines.

No, I don't think they are joking - this is a concern. Based on the fact that they mentioned the name of the town nearby in the description, it was pretty easy for me to find a probable location for this lookout point using Google maps. If permission from the military was granted to post this, I would assume that the military has it handled and is likely moving locations frequently or using this post as a trap - they aren't dummies. If permission wasn't granted, then MSNBC is possibly putting our men in more danger than necessary.

Today marks 3 years since my son entered boot camp at Camp Pendleton. 3 weeks ago he turned 22. He arrived in Afghanistan last week. Seeing these photos helps improve upon my own image of the conditions he is in. This is my sons 2nd deployment I pray the Lord watch over him and his fellow service members and that He keeps them healthy mind, body and soul! Thanks for posting the photo's!

                My Dearest Son,

I have written you letters everyday since you left in May. Telling you smoking is bad and here I see you smoking. But; I want you to know how proud of you I am. No words can describe that. We miss you so much and are looking so forward to Christmas. You're in our thoughts and prayers. Be safe Devil Dog.

My son Johnny is leaving for Kajaki tommaro, on his second tour. Also he is a Cpl. and a sniper. As a former Marine '68-'70 my heart and prayers are with all of our Jarheads. May GOD be with them all and bring them home safely
