Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell of Delaware walks out of a voting booth after voting for the midterm elections at a polling station in Wilmington, Del., on Tuesday, Nov. 2.

And they're off

The polls are open and the rebel Tea Party movement has center stage. What implications would the upset of the Democrat-controlled Congress have for you? Slideshow: America heads to the polls

That we'd have some fresh faces in the Senate and Congress who would hopefully put the country back on track. If they fail, then they'll be voted out next election. The plus side is we get rid of Princess Pelosi and Harry Reid. Speaker Pelosi is probably the biggest moron to ever hit center stage in the swamp. Who in their right mind would urge the congress to vote on a bill. some 2000+ pages long and tell them, pass it, we'll read it later and find out what's in it. Good bloody riddens!

Mike, you are just assuming that she voted for herself. Can she think that far ahead?

hopefully some checks and balances will be restored. Supermajority is NEVER a good thing especially when we would never be confused with a geniocracy.

and for the extremists that can only repeat what they here on NPR and Fox here's the definition:

Geniocracy: The term geniocracy comes from the word 'Genius' and proposes a system that is designed to select for intelligence and compassion as the primary factor for governance. While having a democratic electoral apparatus, it differs from traditional liberal democracy by instead suggesting that candidates for office and the body electorate should meet a certain minimal criterion of problem-solving or creative intelligence.

I think the majority of people posting here are employed in a business not owned by them. Be thankful that you have a job at least for the time being, because those days are numbered as the economy continues to decline.

Small and large business' are having trouble trying to afford to keep the number of employees that they already have and certainly cannot afford to hire any new ones. If you do not own a business small or large you have no idea what is going on out in the real world. Unless if you're unemployed then I think you understand exactly what I'm saying.

The reason why the numbers in unemployment have dropped off are because the statistics used to calculate the unemployed are the number of people collecting unemployment benefits. Once your unemployment benefits run out, you are still unemployed, BUT you are no longer calculated into the overall number of the unemployed in this country. Therefore the unemployment numbers for people in the US are not accurate and are actually worse than what is written about.

Obama said if elected president he would work with both parties across the aisle to help this country. Having a Democratic controlled House and Senate elected with him Obama saw no reason to work across the aisle. Obama had the power of the pen to sign whatever he saw fit and made his agenda law regardless of what anyone else might have thought.

I have been a registered Democrat for 38 years and I will vote Republican at this election because "I CAN READ" the writing on the wall and considering the past 2 years of what this country has gone through, we cannot afford another 2 years of the same.

Hi Christine. You look so cute and adorable coming out of that voting booth. I looked for "Angel" on my voting card so I could vote for you but couldn't find it. Just teasing you a little. I can't vote for you since I live in Wisconsin but I support you all the way. Good Luck and I hope and pray you win. If Delaware can't appreciate you we'd love to have you in Wisconsin! We need good strong independent Conservative women here in Wisconsin too. Have a great day!!!
