Mount Merapi spews hot lava seen from Kemalang Balerante village, Klaten, Indonesia. Indonesia's Mount Merapi volcano erupted again on Nov. 2, sending a plume about 1,500 meters above the mountain.

And on the other side of the world...

In a buzzing newsroom on election night, images like this remind us that - while it may not feel like it now - there are dramas playing out in the world that having nothing to do with who gets elected.

    This could get exciting.

I did a little research on Krakatoa and these Javanese volcanoes can be really powerful. When Krakatoa blew, the soundwave reverberated around the globe seven times, it was heard virually everywhere. If you've ever seen The Scream by Munch, you've seen how the sky looked for years after Krakatoa exploded. Right now we've got twenty volcanoes getting nervous with rumbling in the same area as Krakatoa.

When Mother Nature complains, she does it in a big way.
