Traveler gets patted down at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport

Really?!

I submit that if this is what we’ve come to then something needs to change. Between, paying extra for checked baggage, not getting a meal or a pillow, and now more aggressive pat downs, I’d rather stay home and just do something local.

Agreed.

Since my local pub shut down a while ago and I was hankering for some chatter, I went down to ye old local wine merchant, bought a bottle, and asked folks to give it a try. Naturally, they bagan talking. The most often repeated theme for the evening-and I didn't bring it up-was TSA Patdowns and Scanners. A friend of mine did travel and had both done. I was told The Scanner was strong enough to actually feel in the body as it did it's job. The Patdown was quick, said my friend, and next time that will be the option taken, as The Scanner was Scary.

I'd rather take a train anyways, more fun all around. Ribbit, Happy Thanksgiving all.

Don't just "opt out" of naked scanners only to be sexually molested/assaulted, instead. Boycott Flying COMPLETELY, until sanity returns! Please join us: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Boycott-Flying/126801010710392

Yep, typical terrorist, you can see it in the gray hear and the wrinkled features.

On a serious note, I suspect that TSA is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Napolitano's minions believe that the American conservatives, small government types, returning veterans, et al are the real threat. And I think they are using TSA to create that threat by treating us all as criminals --- they are tying to turn us into a threat.

yeah, better check this guy out. pops could be packing!!!!!!!! and his expression says it all, i would say.

the TSA is a joke! and JN is a ugly dykie numbnut, without the sense to come in out of the rain!

JN and the TSA are the terrorists in America!! the woman is clueless and without an original idea in her head, probably her whole life.

and chertoff, he is now selling the airport scanners!!!!!!!!! so you know he needs to whip up fear and the idea that there are subversives around every corner!

and there are, aren't there????????? he says it is so so it must be so, right?

          didn't think so.

he is another numbnut. why doesn't he eat a donut and do something useful.

the old guy in the picture is actually very clever. he had his leg cut off just so he would have a place to hide a gun or explosives.

you can just tell he is a long term planner, and strategic thinker!

they shouldn't let anyone without all their body parts fly, to many places to hide something!!!

a gun, a joint, a brick of________, who knows?? can't trust anyone. seems like the old nixon days, doesn't it?

and he went on tv and said, "the american people have the right to know if their president is a crook. and i'm NOT a crook".

i guess he resigned for no good reason. but as WE all know, you can trust everyone in government. only the brave, the honest and the intelligent serve! they just turn to crooks once they get there.
