Protesters attack car containing Prince Charles

I've never seen an image of Prince Charles and/or Camilla looking so shaken.  This must have been a terrifying experience.  You can read about the incident here, and see more images from the protests here.

Britain's Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall react as their car is attacked, in London, Thursday, Dec. 9. Angry protesters in London have attacked a car containing Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. An Associated Press photographer saw demonstrators kick the car in Regent Street, in the heart of London's shopping district. The car then sped off. Charles' office, Clarence House, confirmed that "their royal highnesses' car was attacked by protesters on the way to their engagement at the London Palladium this evening, but their royal highnesses are unharmed."

You could bet your bottom dollar that the U.S. Secret Service wouldn't let this happen to the Presidential motorcade.

@Jonathan Woods: That fact is a sadder reflection on how the US government views its citizens, as opposed to the efficacy of its Secret Service.

JimmyCosumes.. it shows more about the efficiency of the US Secret Service. Those guys are DEDICATED.. they are willing to throw themselves in harms way, and have done so without a second thought many times. And the Presidential Detail is the cream of the crop. And maybe.. just maybe.. it shows a very angry British populace.. they've had their hands held for years, and now they are being asked to pay up.. and here comes bonny Prince Charlie and his jeweled up homewrecker/wife, obviously not cutting back one bit....

The portection service was caught unawares and did an admirable job. Their charges were safe and no one was shot, what possible better outcome could anyone ask for or provide?

Each of those emeralds Camilla is wearing would pay for hundreds of students to go to University. I'm surprised the damage wasn't worse.

No, I am not a Communist. It is merely an ironic comment.
