Lucy, the daughter of British soldier Christopher Davies, waves as his coffin leaves the church following his funeral in St. Helens, northern England on December 10, 2010. Guardsman Davies, who was shot in an ambush while patrolling in the Nahr-e-Saraj district of Helmand Province, was the 100th member of the UK armed forces to die in Afghanistan this year.

A daughter waves good-bye to her father following his funeral.

Something about this simple gesture is so heartbreaking.

Wow...That is a heartbreaking picture.

It's ironic that the next one is President Obama with his family smiling.

It's time we ask ourselves..why are we in this war.
