Willie Mays visits public school near the original home of the New York Giants

As Robert's post of the snowy field in Detroit reminded us yesterday, it feels like Spring couldn't be further away. But it's nice to see that Willie Mays has these kids thinking of home runs and cracker jacks near the place where, for him, it all began.

Sitting in front of a picture of himself playing stickball on the streets of Harlem, Willie Mays is interviewed at Public School 46 on Jan. 21 in New York City. The school is next to the site of the former Polo Grounds where the new York Giants played before moving to San Francisco in 1958. The Giants hadn't won the World Series since 1954.
