Snow blankets Midwest and starts to head east

The National Weather Service has warned that the coming winter storm will produce blizzard-like conditions, including the possibility of 12-inches of snow in southeast Iowa and more throughout the Plains and Midwest states.

Snow falls on the Cloud Gate sculpture in Millennium Park on Feb. 1, in Chicago, Illinois. Chicago is under a blizzard warning for today and Wednesday as forecasters predict up to 20 inches of snow will fall on the city coupled with wind gusts of up to 60 mph.
