Like this animal control officer, I also thought he was dealing with an opossum rather than a kitten when I first saw these images. If the cat weren't soaking wet and apparently unhappy about it's situation, it might even be cute.

Poor Kitten --- I emphasize that's a BABY! Yeah, it's wet, scared, has teeth and claws, but would respond much bettter if held by something other than its TAIL. EGAD.

What a horrid way to handle a scared, helpless little kitten. Makes me wanna slap the snot out of that HORRIBLE, HEARTLESS nazi.
What you forgot is that he thought it was an opossum at first and opossums have very strong tails. How could you call him "horrible and heartless" when you don't know him? Have you ever grabbed an animal by its midsection? It usually pulls its paws up and scratches the hell out of you. It seems to me that based on it looking like an opossum that he did exactly what he should have. You horrible, horrible commenter.
LGriffin and Lizi .... Walk a mile in my shoes then you can comment on my actions. You would not last a week. Thanks tpelletier for your support!!!
If you want to confront me personalty send me a message!

Mr. Crowthers, I was moved to post my comment because I was born in Evansville. It takes a lot of heart to do a heart-breaking job; you wouldn't do it if you didn't care about animals, your community and your own soul. We all react/respond from our unique life experiences and world views. For those whose sensibilities are affronted by depictions of grizly reality (rescue is not an exact science, but your problem-solving skills are evident), PETA is always recruiting new philes who wish to make a difference by putting their lip service into action. As for the well known, disparaging remark: "He couldn't get elected Dog Catcher", those who serve under that job title, don't run for it, they run to it. You perform at the "Cat Man Do" pinnacle. You are a Champion. Thank you for your humanity.
