People make their way past snow covered cars during a heavy snowfall in Gangneung, South Korea on Feb. 14.
Reuters reports:
The biggest snowfall in a century has buried cities in eastern South Korea and prompted rescue operations involving some 12,000 soldiers, as the coldest winter in years grips the peninsula.
Hundreds of motorists were stranded and dozens of buildings collapsed after more than a metre of snow fell over some parts of the region over the weekend. The weather bureau has forecast more heavy snow for the region on Monday.
The country's capital, Seoul, and main industrial hubs were not affected by the storm.
The heavy snow comes just a few weeks after temperatures hit record lows, causing the Han River in central Seoul to ice over for the first time in years.
North Korea also recorded its coldest January in 26 years.
The BBC quoted a local newspaper that described the region being hit by a "snow bomb". A local resident, Park Chae-ran, said "I am 83 years old. It's the heaviest snow in my life. I am really grateful for the soldiers' help."

Not sure what but, something must be wrong out there with all the climate changes nowdays. Terrible wrong!!! The cimate - both, the weather and social climate - are not normal. Look at middle east. Look at WiKiLeaks. Look at the world economy under the New World (dis)Order...
And I recall my grandma teling me how the weather was in Europe before the start of and during the WWII: according with her account, there was nothing normal about the weather back then....
Is the weather, the social unrest in the world and the Failed World Economy telling us we are approaching another major war on our planet? I hope not but, only the future will tell...!!!!!!!
American Eagle, your linking social unrest, and the down turn in the economy to the climate? WTF????
I think Eagle's comment is along the lines of what many new age books say - maybe even some "old age" books - that mother nature is merely a reflection of the consciousness of the humans who occupy the planet. Simply said, bad people, bad thoughts, bad actions = bad weather and other natural disasters. "Thoughts create reality" is another way of putting it.
Gary climate has been a major factor in economics ever sense we began trading goods for goods. Floods, drought, extreme colds and heat would devistate farming restrict travel and ihibit the distribution of goods. Climate may not have the same impact it did a few centuries ago but don't count it out, it matters.
Maybe the issue is backwards to what you're thinking: Instead of the weather "knowing" that us humans are going to kill each other, maybe instead the weather periodically goes wonky and then us humans start killing each other due to resource depletion and panicking because of the unusual nature we are experiencing.
Guys, this really, really scary stuff. Forget the economy and WikiLicks!!! The North Koreans have learned how to control the weather. They will attempt to bring the South to it's knees with this technology! If they can do so across oceans, we're all in deep doo-doo!!!
LOL
Its all about volcanic eruptions. There have been a lot lately around the world and when a volcano erupts, a very large volume of volcanic ash and sulphur dioxide (SO2) are thrown high into the atmosphere, forming clouds. The clouds shade large areas of the earth's surface from the sun and cause GLOBAL COOLING for a year or several years. Ergo, we get lots of snow and rain. Mystery solved.
Weather, Social Unrest & the Failed World Economy...........
Lions, Tigers and Bears..............oh my.
But of COURSE it must be Obama!!!
WTF???
Of course the weather is NOT affected by the billions and billions of tons of CRAP we put into the atmosphere, and Social Unrest has NOTHING to do with people all over the world getting sick and tired of being manipulated and controlled by the wealthy class and of course, last, but certainly not the least, is the failed world economy which is nothing more than a result of Capitalism and Democracy going to the highest bidder. The United States is the best Democracy money can buy.
Usual global climate change denier claptrap.
Weather, over a period of time, creates climate. However, within a climate, weather can be 'above normal' and 'below normal'.
Many people are discussing the 'bad weather' in the north east this winter. In Baltimore, we had about 50 inches of snow last February (with most of that 50 inches falling by the 11th). So far this 'snow season' (since July 1, 2010), we've had about 11.9 inches of snow - normal for the period would be 12.7 inches.
Did it change our climate? No, as weather is day to day, while climate is the average of weather over a period of years, or decades, or centuries.
From what I understand, our planet has gone through more than 1 ice age - which gives the impression that the weather on this planet has HISTORICALLY been volatile. Whether or not man has played a major role, hard to know.
We are likely on path for another pole shift as well...
lets just hope it doesnt happen in our lifetimes...because that will be the end our life.
Actually the average temperature around the world went up a degree. Thus more moisture, more snow.
Climate shift/change. Mystery solved
We all seem to have this "dooms day" scenario, running through our thoughts. I believe man has had a lot to do with climate change but also, nature has its own way of letting man know, we are mere humans. Some believe it is God's way of punishing us for our evil ways. Others believe it is cyclic and the weather will return to the "norm" in a century or so. Quite frankly, I think old mother nature has gotten tired of man abusing her. She is slowly dying of neglect. We have broken her heart and spirit. We have raped her of her natural resources and have never replenished them, with the vital nutrients she needs. We have dirtied her land and polluted her waters. Mother nature weeps dirty rain and sheds mountains of snow flakes, in places that had never seen such destruction and turmoil. Her waters rise and floods her beloved land because she has a power, no man can control. She quakes and trembles, while her green trees burn and mud slides over the over the remaining ashes. We, man have created this havoc, with our greed and disrespect for nature and for one another. I am sure "the powers that be" has had enough of all of us. Unfortunately, the innocent will suffer, along with the guilty. Our glorious, natural beauty, this Earth, is dying and we will die along with her.
For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
I just see a @!$%#load of snow.
There is way too much intellectualization going on here.--
Everybody with half a brain knows that Cheney / Bush is responsible.
Ask any liberal - they are never wrong.
Or, American Eagle & Common Sense, maybe, it's bad weather cycles, that cause so much hate, and discontent in people...
Jessica asks: From what I understand, our planet has gone through more than 1 ice age - which gives the impression that the weather on this planet has HISTORICALLY been volatile. Whether or not man has played a major role, hard to know.
I answer: Humanity has not played a major role as most of the climate change this planet has experienced was before man evolved. We weren't here, so we didn't cause it. The changes the earth experiences, polar shifts, techtonics/volcanos/earthquakes, etc. put far more "crap in the air" (Mike from Boulder) than humans do.
We'd be silly to try to stop Climate Change. Even if we could, we'd probably 'break' the earth (akin to the movie The Core). The best mankind can do is learn to adapt.
We are all doomed! The global temperature is... rising, and... that is causing... colder weather and deep snowfall... and bad economy and social unrest and bed bugs. It's all George Bush's Fault!
A-hahaha! Environmentalist Wack-o's of the world unite (and hurl yourself into a melting glacier's crevasse)!!
Smart money is on a ticket to the secret Biosphere dome on Mars-
Our planet is lowly being sucked into the sun and we must evacuate!
Time is running out and weather patterns are getting more unstable- Just ask the pilgrims!
They left for Biosphere America 500 years ago and we screwed up this place too.
WE ARE ALL IDIOTS!
This is but one of the effects of global warming.
I know many will dismiss this. Global warming makes it colder?! Yes. When the overall temperature warms, even by as little as one degree as mentioned above, the weather pattern shifts and extremes in weather occur. The poles are warmer than in the past and the resulting lack of cold, ice and snow is affecting weather elsewhere.
It's not doomsday. Yet. But continued changes will affect climate and weather more severely.
Climate change is for the birds. We all are aware that the climate will warm and cool just as it's always done. We will either adapt or die as a race. Nothing can or will change that. The insulting part of the whole deal is we allow our government to tell us what we can do and how much to pay for this trumped up scheme of preserving the planet from global warming. Just another scheme to steal your tax dollars and give them away when they're so dearly needed here at home for other ,more worthy purposes. You want to save something ,how about cleaning up the pollution that we're poisoning our soil and water with. Without food to eat or water fit to drink I'll guarantee you you'll be dead a whole lot sooner than global warming will finish you off.
The polar vortex is weakening which allows the polar air to spill south, and the warmer air down here carries more moisture. It's really not rocket science. Oh wait...
Shocker, the drivel spewed from Mike, Boulder...is from a whacko liberal from...wait for it....Boulder. Man alive, you people seriously are from another planet. Boulder, Berkeley, and San Fran need to pool their money together and pay for their own space ship and finally go home. Please, I'm begging you to all move back to your home planet. You are SOOOO CRAZY!
In New York City's Central Park, geologists have found scrape marks on bed rock that indicated a glacier was dragging smaller stones over the bedrock at some time in the distant past. Also, in the town of Glen Rock, New Jersey, there is a large boulder which is out of place in the middle of flat grassy fields, for which the town is named. Again, geologists have said that the boulder was deposited as part of a glacial moraine. The earth's weather has been much colder. And snow has been deeper in my living memory.
This isn't climate change. In fact, it turns out that global warming hasn't messed with the weather any! It's always been screwy, with weird ups and downs.

AH! I remember this one. Reality is how we perceive it right? The idea is that if humans weren't around to see the weather and the world around us, then it might as well not exist. Sort of like, "If I can't see the moon, then it doesn't exist. But if I do see the moon, then it does exist." I remember hearing the Einstein hated the idea, but it kinda puts into perspective what reality really is. If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
Yes, it does. Now shut the f&@(@— up.
hey, quit crying, keep shoveling, April is getting closer
So let me get this straight...some (Like American Eagle) have posted that all this is connected based on humans actions. OK, then back in the last ice age, when Neanderthals and "modern humans" were living, they must have been some seriously screwed up people...causing the ice age and all. It must have been all that wasting of fossil fuels and nuclear weapons testing they did back then. Or maybe it was the fact that they had really bad attitudes for a long time.
Well, here is the thing about us humans...we, as a group, have many who think we are god's gift to existence. Therefore, we are more important than anything, including the planet Earth. Yes, some say we must treat our planet better and I agree. But many still believe we are god's children. That may be true if you consider god to be the planet Earth. Not in a sense that it is truly a god, but that it is what provided us with a place that enabled us to become humans with the ability to think and manipulate our environment. Earth also gifted every plant and animal that exists or existed with the same. So when humans cause something that the Earth did not intend, it will naturally adapt and that may include ice ages, whether natural or not. In fact, as natural beings of this planet, even nuclear fall out is a natural occurrence as it would have to be considered a man-made poison and we are, of course, natural to this planet. The difference is, the Earth itself did not make the materials to be released in the way humans have made it...or did it? Maybe, as the population gets larger and larger, it is a natural progression to poison the planet so that eventually, we humans will die off in large numbers. As we become a plague on the planet, we will learn to destroy ourselves more efficiently. Not because we or the planet literally wants us too, but because we naturally need to.
My point is, a snow storm in Korea is not cause for alarm. There have been many more devastating events in our past and before we existed. By the way, the whole area, in various places like parts of China, Russia, Japan, are all getting snow. It is still winter you know. But at some point in the future, whether we or the Earth or a combination of both, there will be an extinction level event. Billions will likely die, but some will likely live. It may seem evil to think that this planet needs a major die-off, but just about everybody with a brain likely feels we are way overpopulated and it is getting worse all the time.
There was a recent survival article that many posted on. I and others explained ways to survive events like hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc. Basically, the ability to live for 10 days after an event, giving emergency services time to organize and get food, water and care to people. If an extinction level event were to happen, this would enable those prepared to live for 10 say, up to 3 weeks if they stretch food and water thin. The issue when talking about an extinction level event is that those who are not prepared at all, probably 95% of the population, will have about 2-5 days of water and food. This means, as a poster in that blog said, people will need to hunt and gather their food and he preferred nobody know how to survive. The reasoning is that if you take the population of the US...about 310 million and cut it in half to roughly 155 million after an extinction level event, you have a very small percentage that will last for weeks and the rest will need to hunt and gather within days or even hours. When 154 million plus unprepared take to the fields, woods, lakes, ocean, etc., to find food, it will be the final nail in the coffin. Without organized agriculture, the planet Earth will not provide for this many people. Likely, well over 100 million in the US will die in the first month or two. By then, there will be little left to eat. Untreated water will be a constant threat as human waste and dead will litter the Continent and disease will spread. Only a few prepared groups, maybe less than 100,000 people will survive. Most of the large animals and edible plants will be gone in less than a month and as humans use wood to produce warmth, fires will undoubtedly spread in many areas. It will be the greatest die-off since and maybe exceeding that of the dinosaurs. They were willing and able to eat rotting corpses.
So, are a few record snow storms the sign of the beginning of the end. Probably not. But, it will undoubtedly happen at some point in our future. A recent History Channel documentary investigated the Georgia Guidestones located in Elbert County, GA. Two things it says that I feel are good guidelines are...Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature and Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature. The reasoning, in my opinion, is that with no more than a total world population of 500 million, Earth can easily be a provider of food and water. Also, there is enough room and resources that humans don't have any real reason to war with each other. As far as the nature part, this gives fair chance for animals and plants to survive and prosper within their environments. And in the worst case scenario, if and extinction level event takes place, there may be enough food for humans to survive. Right now, if something happened, we would see billions die within months. The few survivors would likely attempt to kill each other for the few resources available. Not a pretty picture.
lol, don't get me wrong, I deal with quantum theory on a regular basis. I don't actually believe the philosophy I mentioned, I was just making a relation between what Common said and what I've heard about it. It's an interesting idea to think about, and we've all probably thought about it at some point or another on our own. Like how reality could actually be a creation of your own mind? Just cuz I mention the theory doesn't mean I believe it, I was just wanting to verify what common meant when he/she said it.
I mentioned the "tree falling" thing to tie the theory to something you've heard before. Of course it makes a sound. If there's a transfer of energy between materials that can resonate (which all materials do), then there was sound... but that's not what's really important about the question. What's important is this: If a tree falls, and you have no way of knowing, then is it relevant to your existence? In other words, did it really happen in the world you live in? (the world in our heads). The answer to that varies from person to person obviously... as one event leads to another which leads to another and so on... but I digress. It's fun to think about, but not really something one can act on. All of these thoughts have virtually no impact in the end. Even IF the world is completely and entirely a figment of your own imagination, it would make no difference in how you would live your life because you would live it according to how you perceive everything anyways. The only difference, is that what you perceive is also the source of creation. Bleh...
How cute ^.^ you can sensor the @!$%# word.
It was awesome. I have lived here for the past seven years and it was some of the best skiing ever! I went for the past three days. The International Olympic Committe should be making their rounds for Korea's bid for the winter olympics. I hope they see the snow, excellent resorts and the warm hearts of the Korean people!
Its going to be twice as hot this year, (old people say if winter was called the summer is going to be hotter) then lust year, the nature is unbalanced, it doesn't mater if its man cost or just nature has its own turn around, but its scary to see snowmagedon during the winter and 120F during the summer in the Places like New York. Crazy.
What language is that ?
Probably "hangover" language.
Glad to see that the kool-aid has made it here. No more "Global Warming", huh? Since that fatuous theory has been blown out of the water by record low temps and leaked emails showing that it's all made up nonsense, now it's "Climate Change", right? Al Gore's gotta find some way to make money.
Global warming is nonsense? Because an arctic band of cold air dipped down unusually low this year? No one seems to be following the weather at the polar ice caps - which is the exact opposite of what we are experiencing. Lack of snow, record warmth, and melting ice at unheard of rates ...
Amazing how people will ignore facts, no matter how strong, to support their biases.
errrrr typo O.o?
I remember in the 1970s "they" were saying we were headed for an Ice Age. Now the latest fad is Global Warming. Here we are with one of the coldest winters in some time and "they" are saying its because of Global Warming. Go figure.
Even a spell checker isn't going to help this poor individual since she is using real words, just the wrong ones. One should really proofread before hitting that post button. Actually, I blame the texting society for this post where close is good enough and the person I am sending this to will understand. The fact remains that we have abundant evidence of global climate change, record breaking snow storms, massive flooding, powerful hurricanes (cyclones); but the right wing press still says it is a figment of our collective imagination. Talk about the frog in the pot of boiling water.
Now that's the correct analogy!
Marklfl, how's this for facts: NOAA says global warming hasn't produced more extreme weather over the last century or more!
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704422204576130300992126630.html
C. Smith.....You can't put an OPINION BLOG from of all sources the WALL STREET JOURNAL and state it as fact! SOOOOOO STUPID!!! HAHAHAHAHA FAIL
Frank, it's not the story or it's conclusions he's citing, but rather the conclusions of the University study within the article. (UNIVERSITY OF BOULDER NO LESS) All in all I'd say the article has a good point though. It's not about who's to blame for weather extremes, but rather how best to prepare for the worst. Because if history has taught us anything, (way back before industrialism) it's that Mother Nature is a vicious b*@#$ and will bring on the worst when you least expect it.
Any decent weather man will show a weather map showing the gulf stream pulling artic air down and across the United States, That is the reason for the cold temperatures. Now seems to me global warming would be the reason for all the precipitation. Hotter temperatures mean more evaporation and more clouds, more clouds in turn block the sun, In the summer keeping in heat and in the winter keeping out the heat of the sun.
The South Western US and Northern Mex experienced some cold weather two weeks ago Thursday. I won't know what bit the dust, but I can see lots of prickly pear cactus that have melted over the fence they were growing over. Towns on both sides of the border said they hadn't seen weather that cold in anywhere from 60 to 95 years.
Tucson and Sierra Vista both lost their natural gas flow due to extreme usage. Stores in the whole region sold out of heaters, blankets, PVC, glue and insulation in a matter of hours.
Burrrrrr. Better them than me.
Isnt it funny how most people have that same view, and now step back, and really see the picture.
Well, mid 50's here in N. VA. I'm grateful for that and I love being outdoors so I don't complain about the heat. As for politics, they're ALL crooked........whatcha gonna do?
Three feet of snow is a lot. South Korea does experience all 4 seasons though.
I think that Mother Nature is simply sick of us screwing her over and she is screwing us back!
We got 3 feet of snow in Syracuse, NY on Easter Sunday about 20 yrs ago. It happens and it doesn't mean the end of the world. Even if it's the end of the world, there's nothing we can do about it so stop worrying and enjoy each day as a gift.
The title of this article makes one think and wonder if North Korea didn't lob this at South Korea.
WTF???? Who said ANYTHING about controlling the weather? Do you interject nonsense into EVERYTHING you read? WOW!!! Go back to sleep you ARE stupid.
I blame H.A.R.P.
bet they don't know wtf to think with 3 feet of snow and it still snowing?
i bet there are a lot of people who freeze to death over there in this!
I'm American (and from Wisconsin none-the-less, so it goes without saying I understand winter) and have been living here in South Korea for nearly a year (business, not military). Its a first world country people, i say this respectfully, but please wake up. They are all fine. Its been snowing like crazy all winter, I've been out snowboarding a ton of times in the mountains and truthfully thats all this is to the Koreans, a chance to holdout the slopes that shut down in 2 weeks. Its a surprise for sure, it hit near Busan a major beach area, but they'll be just fine, its not North Korea its South, the same place that has literally a stronger economy than ours at the moment (just stating un-opinionated facts, I bleed red white and blue, but at the moment South Korea is rocking the world financially). Plus, Koreans are REQUIRED to join the military at a certain age, not volunteer like us so there's an abundance of soldiers for a country the size of my home state. I say that because they can afford to send 12,000 troops to clean up snow and stay secure. The roof cave-ins and such are simply in lieu of the area being the "Florida" of Korea, I can't imagine many industrial buildings are set for 3 feet of snow in a day out there either. But to state the obvious, yes, definitely a lot of snow.
Korea is at the same latitude as our high snowfall areas in the USA (lower 48 states). Ski chalets in Utah ski resorts have entrances on the roof for when the ground floor doors get blocked by snow. Its not an apocalypse. People freezing is more a result of very low temperatures rather than high snowfalls. Korea has had low temps in winter throughout its history. Koreans will deal with it in the usual way. South Korean troops train by jogging down the road naked to the waist and then jumping into frozen ponds or lakes. Thats how they toughen up.
AmericanInKorea take me snowboarding with you
3' of snow will bring the country to a screeching halt. Am most concerned about the weight of snow on their homes. Many homes in the villages aren't well constructed.
well well well maybe its the bombs that we are shooting...or maybe its the airplanes that are in the air.... it cannt be the working people..but be ready... we will pay for the bill...but its only snow.... get over it...i like to think its just a day on gods earth..be thankful you are not dead...and you will see .....
So let's see. In the winter we have record cold and record snow. In the summer we have record heat and record rain.
Does that mean in the winter we have Global Cooling and in the summer we have Global Warming?
Isn't that how it's always been? :?
No.
i love how people are referring to climate change as if its some strange phenomenon....um...its change...its climate change...climate never stays the same...were coming out of an ice age you dopes....read history...its fluctuated like this for a long long time...in fact people are talking as if this is crazy weather....i wondered what happened to it 20 years ago when i was used to getting lots of snow...its called climate change to identify whats occuring...not to make you think the end of the world is near....
Looks like good skiing snow. I'm not familiar with South Korea's topography but it looks like there should be an effort to start up some ski resorts.
Too late, they already have 'em. Better luck next time.
the whole country is solid mountains
"the whole country is solid mountains"
With mine fields! Now that's skiing!! :)
lol
you are an idiot!! Weather has cycles which normally occur in 30 year periods. Has nothing to do with war you bonehead!
Where is the rest of this article? It's on the front page of msnbc and they don't say how much snow or how cold the temps are? Ugh...
Just wait for the "population bomb" in 9 months. As long as they don't run out of kimchi there won't be any insurrection.
Base on some of these posts it's more than the weather that's crazy. One hundred years ago people would be saying, "Hey it's just as bad as last year." Just because something changes from recent history doesn't mean it isn't something that has happened before - it's called a cycle. Twenty or thirty years from now people are going to be saying how stupid Al Gore and is Lemmings were.
Dan G,
Twenty or thirty years from now people are going to be asking why we didn't do anything when we had the chance, and we are taking names so that we will be able to tell them who prevented.
This is the dumbest discussion I have ever read.. I really believe some people should stop reproducing…
and those same people vote!!
L.O with a capital L on that one.
Frank is right: Where is the information about how huge the "bomb" is???? Typical msnbc 'journalism'(???)--heavy on sensationalism, light on information and facts.
Did you expect anything else?
i lived in seoul korea for three years and the snow there was always a serious thing.but what i see here is unreal and the best thing to do is what i use to do when it would snow like this is stay inside and make love to my girl. stay warm, fed, fu...ked. then go out and play in the snow......cumsum me da.
Sounds like a plan. I thought it was "Kam sam nee dah."
68 today here in ga!!! WOOOO HOOOOOOOO no more S-N-O-W! I wont even look at those pics because of all that dreadful crap; and im sure that the people living in the ne and midwest wont either!
Hang tough Koreans
73 in Davie, Fl., I am freezing my butt off and just want to hibernate!!!
74 in Cochise, AZ. Ah, late winter is so nice!
World unrest and climate change are as unlike as pickles and ice cream. With political and religious unrest, climate change can be the catalyst that starts World War III. Reductions in crop production due to climate change will first occur in third world countries. Major force countries, like China. Russia, India and the United States, using a majority of resources, will deny third world countries their meager portions.
Water will be the "straw that breaks the camels back!" From towns to cities, states to countries, waterways will suffer from reduced flow. What was once a shared resource, will become a resource starting wars between local, national and international entities. Streams, rivers, reservoirs, wells will rapidly outclass rare metals for dominance on world markets.
As the world continues to pollute, water and breathable air will replace gold, silver and diamonds. Without either, life is over. By the time man reduces polluting the air and water, the damage will already be done.
Our options are limited, our success is in jeopardy.
Fred, Fred, Fred.... climate change has been, is now, and will be, perpetual. Please also consider that there has been only ONE 24-hour period in the entire recorded history of Man when there was no conflict going on somewhere on our li'l mudball (15-16 August 1945). Edward R. Murrow in a broadcast at the time said it was "...as though the world was drawing its collective breath before starting up again." We don' need no steenking climate change to kill each other. As to reduced water flow, just so's you would know -- ummm... snow is water. And, in case you haven't heard, there are quite a few places throughout our ol' Terra Firma where there's a bit more H2O than the human residents have been able to deal with. Here's a clue, laughing boy, as the world continues to turn, things will change. By the way, I admire your Cassandra-like optimism and your amazing egotism. IMAO, the Earth has sustained a lot more over her roughly 4.5 BILLION years of existence than Man is capable of throwing at her and--- she's still here! You know, folks like you used to annoy me. Now, however, I just pity you for your willing acquiescence to the tripe peddled by Gore et al in their bid to control more and more. BTW, Your options are limited because you accept those limitations and Your success is in jeopardy because you have limited your options. Too bad, so sad, bye-bye....
Note the Korean custom of extending wiper blades outwards during heavy snowfalls.
Now that's an idea!
Nothing to get alarmed about other than the temporary inconvenience caused by these unususal climatic events. True some people lose their homes and belongings, get injured, or even lose their lives. That is truly sad but it is just nature. Such extremes have happened in the past and will happen again in the future. That is a certainty. Personally I tend to view it as being privilaged to see it as it happens. If I survive it I then have an interesting story to tell when sharing nostalgia with my old friends in later years. LOL
