     I am 72, & ALL my pets have been "pound saves"....GREAT PETS!!!  But I'm sorry....Hercules is 1/2 a dog,

and he will never be able to do doggie things.  He is making his owner happy, I guess. But there ARE still many doggies in the pound who need a home. I REA::Y& am not a meanie...domn't make me out to be one!

Look up "The Rainbow Bridge" and read it!!

Yes - read the Rainbow Bridge - but Jean, I must disagree with you on the 1/2 dog issue - Hercules is still a dog, a soul worth our care and concern.

Even 1/2 a dog if not in pain deserves to crawl into someones lap and snuggle. A few years of warmth, love, and care. What more can anyone dog or human ask for. And if he brings a smile and happiness to his owner and others along the way his life has not been a waste.

Amen Sue - even 1/2 a dog is worth our care and concern.

All my 'fur children' have been rescues - and every one has been a blessing to me. And I hope to see them all at the "bridge" - Bless the beasts and the children - who will care for them if we do not? The good lord gave us bipedal souls the mandate to care for those less fortunate.

Once upon atime, God created this earth and all things upon this earth.

Thou shall not kill, not even the animals that He created, they too have souls, that are eternal, just like ours.

dog, spelled in back is GOD thats not an insult to GOD, he knows what he is doing, and all animals were given their names way before you humans were even concieved.

Unconditional love is experienced only by those who understand that this love is found through God and animals, not between humans.

Thou shall not kill, destroy, all of these things that I have created.

Who are you to kill innocent love created by the most supreme God?

Thou is you, dont play God,only he can take away what he created. Your nothing more than the role in his book, play your part, not his.

I have a dog, Anna Marie, that I found in Romania with a broken back when she was just a puppy. Try telling Anna that she should have been put down - hahaha! She would run you up and down the hills and chase the horses and other dogs and show you what for! She is a great dog, and very well loved. There are many Romanian dogs that thankfully have been given wheelchairs and rescued by compassionate and loving people. Lizzie from Braila, Alfie from Bucharest, Anna Marie from Galati. Thank God someone invented wheelchairs for dogs!

Please support spay/neuter of strays AND owned dogs in Romania. It should be mandatory, at least until their street dog population has subsided.

Killing does not work - the dogs have been beaten, poisoned, bludgened, you name it, but puppies still are born. Each unsterilized female dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 puppies in 6 years! Neuter or spay - no more strays!!!

If the vote is passed that says they will euthanize the stray dogs then it will be a huge tragedy! Botosani in May will never ever be forgotten! Those lost souls some all ready to be adopted and fostered gone! Neuter and spay is the option and only option over the inhumane cruel and totally disgusting methods being used. These poor dogs are on the streets through no fault of their own. Times are changing and the welfare issues in Romania need to be addressed and improved. A country belonging to the EU should be made to adopt the necessary standards for all of it's animals before being allowed to join the rest of the EU! This has to be. SPAY AND NEUTER! LET THE DOGS LIVE!
