OMG! it can happen any where. I just can't imagine the pain and desperation of those parents and families. What can we do to avoid things like this, what could we, as society can do, to avoid this?

Tragedy after tragedy after tragedy! These are children, why would someone target children? My heart is breaking for the parents, families and friends of these precious little souls.

Every time I read one of these stories it make me more determined to bring peace, love and forgiveness to my little corner of the world. Wherever you live, however you live please smile at someone and commit a random act of kindness. This is the only way to combat such rampant anger, hurt and distrust.

I'm Brazilian but live here in California and I'm terrified to see what happened in Rio de Janeiro.  I agree with you "thinkingmom".  We should everyday think in something positive to say to the other person.   This shows how far we're from God.  I'm so sad.  It spoiled my day.   My heart goes to the families that lost their children.

What the heck is wrong with these people? This story makes me sick to my stomach and makes me SO angry! Enough is enough! There needs to be security at schools. It happens way to much. I have a two year old, my only child, and I am so afraid to send her to school when it's time. Its so scary!

No one is being held accountable anymore. As long as this inaction continues, then so will these kinds of trabedies. : (
