Russian soldiers march during a rehearsal for the Victory Day military parade which will take place at Moscow's Red Square on May 9 in central Moscow, Russia, late Tuesday, May 3.

Russia rehearses for Victory Day

The use of panning drew me to this image of a Victory Day rehearsal in Moscow. They are still celebrating as if it's . . . 1945.

Well it's May, with everything else that's going on in the world, I kind of forgot Victor Europe/and Russia's May Day. I think it's wonderful to honor our veterans on both sides. I hope were not headed for a replay of those years and events with different players.

The Soviets went through hell when the Germans invaded. They understand better than most what can happen when evil is allowed to flourish first with Hitler, and then with Stalin. I would love to visit Stalingrad, it is amazing the battles that took place there. No love between the Germans and Russians still to this day, can't say i blame the russians, as for the germans they are still german. Russian fighters are amongsts the best in the world, I am glad we americans never had to fight them.
