Violent thunderstorms exploded across Massachusetts on Wednesday, spawning an apparent tornado in the city of Springfield. No deaths were reported. NBC's Mike Taibbi and The Weather Channel's Chris Warren report.

I live in the area where these deadly destuctive tonadoes hit. We in western mass. hardly ever see this type of destruction. It shows that you just never know. My heart goes out for my brothers and sisters in neighboring cities and towns who must endure the misery and heartache attached to this event. My sympathy also goes out to the families of the victims who literally didn't know how bad the situation was until it was too late. Thank god there wasn't more fatalities.
