James "Whitey" Bulger, a notorious Boston gangster on the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted" list for his alleged role in 19 murders, has been captured near Los Angeles after living on the run for 16 years, authorities said Wednesday.
During his years on the run, the FBI received reported sightings of Bulger and his girlfriend Catherine Greig from all over the United States and parts of Europe. In many of those sightings, investigators could not confirm whether it was actually Bulger who was spotted or simply a lookalike. Read the full story.

I doubt 90% of the nation knew who this guy was. He could of stepped on my foot and I still wouldn't know him.
A fugitive for 16 years and not much shown about him until last Tuesday. And they are canceling AMERICA's MOST WANTED TV show.
Most people in south boston think this bum is a saint. He is nothing but a gangster who got away with murder, extortion, dope dealing, robbing, and god knows what else but because he was an irish catholic southie, all these things he did people turned the other way. Much the same way most catholics turned the other way when the ped priests were (and still are) doing their "thing".
