Prince William, Kate arrive in Canada for first tour

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge arrives at Macdonald-Cartier International Airport on June 30, in Ottawa, Canada. The newly married Royal Couple have arrived in Canada today for their first joint overseas tour. Ottawa is the start of a 12-day visit to North America which will take in some of the more remote areas of the country such as Prince Edward Island, Yellowknife and Calgary. The Royal couple will also join millions of Canadians to take part in tomorrow's Canada Day celebrations which mark Canada's 144th Birthday.

Arriving in Canada for the start of a 9-day North American tour, Will and Kate stepped out on the international stage for the first time on Thursday. NBC's Kevin Tibbles reports.

      NBC, for your information, Calgary is NOT a remote area. It is a vibrant city & Canada's center of our oil industry.

        I wasn't aware that Calgary was remote, either. I think on the east coast they consider anything west of the Mississippi to be remote.

          both are young and you got to understand the brits see this so different than the yanks. but if they can focus from their great apex they can do so much good for the world. i hope they can see beyond.
