Coast Guard rescues fisherman from Washington cliff

ILWACO, Wash. - The Coast Guard rescued a fisherman from a cliff near the North Head Lighthouse near Ilwaco, Wa. on Thursday.

The Daily News reports the 34-year-old Selah, Wash., resident was fishing from the rocks with friends when he fell. The Coast Guard sent a helicopter crew to pick him up and take him to the Coast Guard station at Cape Disappointment. He was then taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
