A crew member from the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Oak counts packaged bales of 15,000 pounds of cocaine worth more than $180 million unloaded at Base Support Unit Miami August 2. The haul was recovered from a self-propelled submersible vessel in the western Caribbean Sea July 13, 2010 after being spotted by U.S. Coast Guard patrol.

In this handout provided by U.S. Coast Guard, the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Seneca interdicts a drug smuggling, self-propelled semi-submersible (SPSS) vessel carrying cocaine on an unspecified date in the western Caribbean Sea. It was the first interdiction of an SPSS in the Caribbean.

They got their hands on all these drugs and mean while 432,000 illegal aliens crossed the border and are lining up at local emergency rooms for free medical care and housing subsidies and having anchor babies

Those who cross border does not need that stuff, it's our own kids. Kids not working so those aliens are doing our house work. If there is no work no one will come n stay here.

They come for free medical , housing subsities and for anchor babies. Also they are undocumented Democratic voters. If Obama had tried Imigration before in the first 2 years he might have gotten it but now that he lost control of the House and the Republicans have to deal with the Tea party the dream act is dead in the water.

All legal Immigrants are and have always will be welcomed in the UNited States. this country was built by Legal Imigrants.

Demand / supply. Sad demand is on high from our own block, homes. We can not control our own demand, what's the point of controlling suppliers.

It would be a good thing to sell it and get the U.S.A. back to where it should be finacially. Just think about it. The U.S. no longer in debt. What would happen then?

The last thing we need is more drug addicts on our roads and highways. People complain because I smoke cigarettes but I can smoke and drive and not worry about the cigarettes altering my mind and crashing into someone. Obama has raised the taxes so high on tobacco products just because Michelle wants him to stop smoking, he is making everyone stop or pay a high price, chances are that he still smokes weed. They should have raised the taxes on alcohol more, but you can look at the politicians and tell that a lot of them are alcoholics so naturally they don't want alcohol taxed more.

I don't understand why everyone wants to walk around high on drugs. If a person has a terminal disease or cancer and marijuana helps them then that is fine but I don't want to be around druggies or my family be around them.

One question I do have is, when the police or F.B.I. do a drug bust and confiscate drugs and large amounts of money, what do they do with all the money? I asked one policeman that one time and he said they use part of the money for drug rehab. programs. When I asked him what they did with the rest he didn't know. They also have taken vehicles and houses where drugs are involved, what happens to the money they get when they sell the vehicles and houses? There should be a special fund that all the money is deposited into and used for drug rehab or some special cause.

Ever think maybe we should legalize and tax this stuff, and use the revenue to service our massive debt? Pot too! If we're really a "free" country, people have the right to kill themselves with the poison of their choice, not just Alcohol, Tobacco, and prescription drugs! What a waste to confiscate and destroy such a big source of revenue when we're broke! Plus the cost of enforcing the stupid prohibition in the first place, and the cost of incarcerating the "criminals", etc.....when are we gonna grow up and realize that this will never go away, and learn, just like we did with gambling, to use it to our advantage? Maybe religion is the problem here...you can't legislate morality, and why even try? Tax it, like we do with all the other "sin", and we'd be in better shape.

"people have the right to kill themselves with the poison of their choice". The problem is, they don't have the right to kill innocent people in car wrecks because they want to get high. Freedom has to have some limits.

Yeah, but they do that with alcohol the most, and that's legal....do the math!

                  #64.2 - Tue Aug 2, 2011 11:45 PM EDT

And why do you think "they do that with alcohol the most?" They use alcohol because it's legal. What do you think it would be like if all the other drugs were legal too?

                    #64.3 - Wed Aug 3, 2011 2:49 AM EDT

Everyone who wants to do a drug is doing it already....illegally. We should tap in on the revenue instead of letting the gangs and mafias make all the money.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Forget the drugs and get a life. Drugs will just drag you down, same with alcohol.

LMAO!!!  As "immoral" as that may seem, selling it to help pay on the national debt it would make the most sense (and benefit)...

I havn't seen a shipment this large since my buddys Dad who was in the New England Mob let us see what he had stowed in an abandoned house he owned up in Rhode Island. With what we saw it was amazing none of us weren't whacked down the road. Wall to wall stocked from floor to ceiling were over 60 bales of weed and in the basement a good 80 blocks of Pink Peruvian coke. I remember him taking me aside and gripping into my shoulder and then slapping me a couple of times in the face "Ye' and yah friends hep me move this to a few trucks and if there are no problems I'll give you a key to split three ways...' Well we kept our mouths shut, and even helped move the bales from the basement into three U Haul trucks bound for Boston and Chicago in the dead of night. As he promised one Kilo of pure Peruvian flake! SOO GOOD and soo pure! We were gacked for months!...

With this shipment coming up along the East Coast I can only imagine The Mob must have something to do with it. Miam Vice and Tony Montana!

Notice how they didn't actually destroy it when they could have easily just dumped it in the ocean. Instead they go through the extra effort to retrieve it and sort it onto pallets. Hmm..
