What a nice moment. What would you say to the President if he bought your lunch?

U.S. President Barack Obama pays for his lunch and that of an unidentified woman at Good Stuff Eatery in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, August 3. With the President were OMB Director Jack Lew, Assistant to the President and Director, Legislative Affairs Rob Nabors, Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Nancy Ann DeParle, Chief of Staff to the Vice President Bruce Reed and Director of the National Economic Council Gene Sperling.

I would tell him to give the money to the people who lost their jobs because of his useless henchmen.
Get rid of the tax breaks for the wealthy then we would not have to eat this junk food.
I would ask whose money he was using.
I think I would say: Thank you, but for the record Mr President, I don't need anyone to buy me lunch. I was raised to buy my own lunch and make sure I could. Maybe ultimately that is what's wrong with our country... we need to focus LESS on everyone buying everyone else's lunch and start putting people BACK TO WORK so each can buy his own. When will we begin to see that shift again?? When will so many, including the white house, stop looking for SOMEONE ELSE TO COVER THE BILL.... if we could put people back to WORK... maybe we could all share the good feelings that come when you can "buy your own"
I'd take it, and with a sincere, gracious thank you. What would the chances be of it happening again, eh? To be able to say, the Pres. bought me lunch, or to say I refused the President's offer to buy me lunch? No brainer there folks. I would also ask him if I could treat him afterward to ice cream, or lunch at another time. And write my phone number on a napkin as well. I cover my bases! As a matter of fact, I'd actually try to pay for his whole entourage's lunch. Why not? It's fun to treat people!
He did more for me than that, He saved me from losing my home, I am a senior,
thank you Mr. President, George
I didn't vote for him. I wouldn't vote for him. However, if a complete stranger bought my lunch as some gesture of simple kindness, I hope I would have the presence of mind to blush and simply say thank you. Using the MANNERS that my parents taught me. Now if the president bought my lunch, even though I don't agree with many of his policies, I hope I would remember to respect the office of the presidency, as also I was taught.
I work in an industry where I rub shoulders with people from EVERY walk of life. Simple generosity of spirit, gracious words, and a smile help the world go 'round.
What a great moment to tell your grandkids!
thanx, but no thanx.
Yeah… but what that picture doesn’t show is that Obama just hit up the guy in the back for $20 so he could buy that lady an $8 lunch. Who knows where the other $12 went.
