What I do not understand is that why, western civilation has this overwhelming need to tell every other country and culture how to live and what is ok or not ok?

People need to mind their own d@mn business...This goes not only for other cultures and countries but in the US as well. I am so sick of policies, lives, and cultures being shaped by the most extreme of both the left and right of the country just because they have the biggest mouths....

This is not about politics! This is not about culture! This is about human beings! The alarming number of girls who are 'married off' so young is only an indication that too many people in the world still do not believe girls have any rights. This is a symptom of a much deeper problem. It is in the news in the hope that we can think of something we can do to make it better. Even if it is as little as having more respect for the people - especially the females - in your own life, it has made a difference.
