Flames and thick black smoke billowing from a line of tanker trucks Monday on the outskirts of Mastung, in the province of restive Baluchistan, Pakistan, as local residents look on.

NATO oil tankers torched in Pakistan

According to EPA, the vehicles reportedly were destined for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces in Afghanistan, and allegedly have been attacked by suspected Islamic militants. Reports state that over recent years, tankers carrying oil for NATO troops have been regularly targeted by the Islamic militants on both sides of the border. US and NATO forces in landlocked Afghanistan get around 75 percent of their food and military supplies through Pakistan.

OUR FRIEND PAKISTAN. You know, it is so smart of Pakistan, with enemies like India and China on its border (by Pakistan's view) it is such a good idea that they have decided that the one country that sends them money is their enemy. Brilliant, Pakis. Keep it up. Keep pretending that the problem is someone else and not you.

Hooligan-2142317, That sure as hell aint the answer cuz if you do that you're gonna get China in it and probably Russia too. Best if we just pack it up , stop all aid and go home... Let them kill each other like they have been since recorded time.

Take Paki nukes out and then nuke them such that they don't dare to bother us again!

Since decades Pakis have been backstabbing. Nuking ungrateful and international liabilities is the right punishment.

Don't bother about China and Russia. Pakis are more dangerous to them than anyone else.

We keep sending the tankers.  They keep torching them. Can't the route or security be changed?

Earlier one report mentioned that only 30 percent of NATO supplies use the Paki routes.

This report is surprising. I will not be surprised if the numbers given in this report is wrong.

Probably the guys that hijacked them. Way to root for the home team! Maybe you could mail in your infinite knowledge on safe tanker truck routes through Pakistan to Afghanistan?

Looks like a voluntary mass execution, no millitary escort, bumper to bumper how stupid an invitation. I guess no guidline from the US and cheers from the Pakistany bystanders. How many times has that happened and they have not learned.

It's another nobody wins war. We continue to spend billions on the war and on aid to people that hate our infidel guts and don't want us there. It's time to pack up ALL of our toys discontinue ALL aid and use the money to protect ourselves from them here at home. Spend some of that aid money aiding our own needy seniors who've damn sure earned it. Let those murdering people murder each other like they have been for thousands of years and just stay out of it.

Pakistan can't control those crazies, Pakistan can't even control riots in one of their cities,Karachi where 100 were killed last week in ethnic violence. In order to protect our supply line, we need our boots on the ground. Pakistan won't like it, we should tell them go to ---.

We should use those boots to get our butts as far away from those ungrateful murdering savages as we can get. Protect our own with the money we are giving them that is supposed to be helping them build up their country but is only building up arms for the Taliban and lining the pockets of the leaders.

Why do we continue to insist on throwing good money after bad? How long will we play the fool? When will we learn that we cannot make people become something they do not want to be-no matter what we try to bribe them with? This is just plain stupid to burden tax payers with this nonsense.

Time to walk away and take the money with us.

PS often it is the Imams who encourage events such as this one.

A vote for obama will keep this war going a long time.

There is a need to move forward fast for biofuel to replace the oil. A vote for President Obama is for the biofuel technologies.

Another vote for the president is the troops are coming home soon.
