Postal employees across the nation are rallying to save postal branches throughout the country.

On Tuesday, Sept. 27, members of the four Postal Service employee unions (APWU, NALC, NPMHU, and NRLCA) will rally in every congressional district from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The rallies are meant to encourage Congress to address the financial crisis facing the Postal Service by passing H.R. 1351. If passed, the legislation could help save critical Postal Service funding.

If the postal employees don't think its fair that they have to pay the $5.5 Billion .... who do they suggest pays it?

And with 9.2% Unemployment, 16% Under-employed.... you'd have to be out of your mind to whine about a tiny 4.5% increase, let alone go on strike over it!

Pays it? Nobody needs to pay it. It's payment for something that doesn't exist. Pay for retirement for someone not born for two generations? Are you kidding me? Nobody does that. No other agency or private business fully funds retirement for 75 years. Nobody's going on strike either. It's a rally to educate folks. The US Postal Service would be solidly in the black if funds weren't skimmed off the top. check this out - >

Darrell Issa supports and battles to maintain the skimming of Postal Revenue for his own purposes and those in his cult. It's not that he has a shady history, or questionable business practices, or is under investigation for ethics violations while in office. It's that he's going to have to be forced to return the funds that he's taken from the Postal Service to the tune of 87 BILLION DOLLARS. Even his lying isn't why Postal Employees don't like him. It's because of this - > #!/photo.php?fbid=2491903176561&set=a.1324231705504.50249.1222221820&type=1&theater and this #!/photo.php?fbid=2488274405844&set=a.1324231705504.50249.1222221820&type=1&theater . Pretty clear actually.

We may as well subsidize the Pony Express. Maybe, if the USPS were to triple the junk mail rate to make it pay for all the costs of running this joke, it could make sense. In reality, the service should be once a month, with higher junk rates to make sense.

Wel, Paul 440967....If Republicans (like yourself probably), hadn't stuck the Postal Service with lame duck legislation in 2006 which impacts it like no other agency or business, it would still be SELF SUSTAINING. And by the way, if a legislative correction doesn't come soon, you'll soon have another 120,000 unemployed to reference in attacking someone else.
