Evangelical Christian pilgrims from Brazil take part in a mass baptism ceremony in the waters of the Jordan River at Yardenit in northern Israel on Oct. 15. According to the gospels, Jesus Christ was baptized in the water of the Jordan River by John the Baptist. More than 6000 Evangelical pilgrims arrived in Israel during the Jewish holiday of Sukkoth, or the Feast of Tabernacles, to show their support in the Jewish state.

OK, MSNBC, how does this show support for Israel? The best you can say is that the strategy here is ," The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Christians see the Muslims as the real enemy, so once they "kick them out", then they hope to do the same to the Jews, as they have done, over and over, in every corner of this planet, for thousands of years. Especially the ones who feel it is their duty to "save the Jews from their errant ways (not accepting Jesus as their personal savior...)".

I live in Brazil and these types (Evangelicals) are mostly uneducated and try to convert everyone. The women walk around only in skirts with the same hair styles and many don't shave anything. They feel it's their duty to knock on doors trying to convert people. Their Universal Churches and Asamblea de Deus churches are all over the place like weeds. Many people don't have enough money to survive properly and yet their churches want their 10% - 20% of the little they have. If you ask them anything about geography or even their own language, they can't tell you but they can give you some quote from the bible (their version). Brazil is a beautiful country but is quickly buying into this cult disguised as a religion. At least the Catholics aren't disturbing others here with their beliefs. Then again, Catholicism requires study before being able to receive communion or confirmation. The Evangelicals here just dress the part, wave their hands around their loud music as they "get the spirit" and poof, they're in. Reborn and saved......... They know nothing about the U.S. Evangelicals that went to Uganda to spread this cult which resulted in over 500 dead Gay people. That's not a sin though. Don't believe it, read the story here:

Well as I recall the original Pilgrims left Europe to find religious freedom. The freedom to burn people as witches. See how far we've come in 400 years. Not a witch in site!

I believe all of you that post crazy statements on here will have your judgment as written in the Holy scriptures of the Bible. My prayer is for you to be saved and to be baptized in the name of Jesus because if you do not a hell awaits you. Do not harden your hearts to his word my brothers, I  know you have felt his presence and know that you resist him because of fear and think that you will be laughed at, well Jesus himself was laughed at and made fun of, spit on and humiliated and then died on the cross for everyone including the ones that did this to him and even the ones like you on these post that still today make fun of and persecute him. For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish and have everlasting life. Love you all and hope and prayers are with you in these tough times.

Is it as hot as they say? I've been to Africa. Will it be like Africa hot.

Will chinos and a knit shirt be too warm? Maybe I should bring beach wear?

Everyone has to deal with the existential paradox somehow, and I suppose this is the best way these folks know how. Unlike you and me, they probably don't get sh*tfaced every weekend and probably don't smoke either. Sure they may probably die of cholera, but what about you? You're going to probably die of lung cancer too. There, you're equally miserable apes living for a fleeting moment on a rock tumbling through space. Don't judge each other. Vivre et laisser vivre. Live and let live!

So, if you wash your soul ( for those that think it exists ) in dirty water (the water that has seen more blood spilled in it in 2000 years, and for what?) is that what makes your soul pure?

If any of you actually studied the 25,000 + pieces of historical documentation you would see the so called 'fairy tale' has merit. You would understand people didn't live in whales, Jesus (proper name Yahshua) was a man and God worked through him, that being tolerant of deception and deceptive people is NOT what God wants to do and that your deceitful selfish 'socialist secular humanism' will get you nowhere in the circle of life.

Until you take the time to study it and understand it. You don't have a place to comment on it. I see MSNBC has pretty much just put visual provocation for your venting purpose of how you hate religion of any kind. Well guess what, God hated religions too. It's why Babylon was cleared. A thorough investigation of the evidence pertaining to man’s existence and to the knowledge of God leads to an inescapable conclusion: the Scripture God inspired remains the world’s only rational candidate for divine writ. I don’t expect you to concur with me, or Him, in this regard, seeing as you don't study, but I have no doubt that if you did, somewhere along your journey, those of you who are intellectually honest will render a similar verdict. Frankly, the case YHWH (Yahweh) makes on behalf of His Scripture is so compelling, I’m amazed people continue to stumble in the dark.

"Yahuweh’s" "Assembly Meetings" serve to "redeem and ransom" those who listen to "Yahuweh’s Voice." The "Ma’seyah performs Yahuweh’s Business." "God Existing as Man" is how "Yahuweh Saves." Yahshua is the voice of God, our Redeemer, the Ma’seyah, ‘Yhay’el.

It been my experience that it is those who have studied it that reject it.

Great idea, pondfrog. But it is because I studied it, and many other cult books, that I realize it's unprovable, mythical, religious nonsense. The other people I know, who also gave cult books, like the BuyBull, an objective, studied examination, came to the similar conclusion.

Careful waht you wish for, pondfrog.

This is no more news than an article saying that 200 people drank beer at Joe's Bar and Grill Saturday night would be. Real news please, we don't have the time for this tripe.

If you are wasting your time reading the articles, you continue to waste your time commenting about them.

I on the otherhand find it comforting to know that I will just be worm food, or fish food

It must be noted that Jews came out of what is today is called Iraq. They were then and are not a society that views themselves as some sort of divinely justified type of human. So then do the moslems. What Christ did was to burst those notions of devise justifications and tell the world we are all flawed and that only through working on our common humanity do we become the type of human our creator intended. This flies in the face of our animal instincts for survival and supremacy at the expense of damaging other fellow humans. So, to be a Christian the point is that we have to put aside our natural tendency to conquer, subjugate, and diminish our fellow humans. What is sad is that with co operation and contact with others we accomplish things that we have not ever been able to do. But we are like little greedy selfish children full of ourselves.....the immature idiots run the world from time to time.

Again, George -- this is unprovable cult mythology. The jesus-myth is a cult creature, nothing factual. Grow up.
