When I see pictures of heavily armed riot police, something bad is usually happening. This offbeat situation in Bogota reminds me of the famous "flower power" image by the late Bernie Boston.

Gandhi approves. The whole point of non-violent protest is that might doesn't make right, and stooping to molotovs doesn't make you better than a phalanx of riot police. Surprised they didn't blast away with tear gas like they did with the Occupy movement, or ride them down with cavalry like they did with the military veterans of the Bonus Army.
