The whole Saudi police, armed forces and rulers are simply experts in shows and farce to the absurd levels.

When 500 Shiites controlled their Mecca/Medina, all the Saudi bunch were hiding behind women. Jordanian and Paki forces had to dislodge them.

Even against Saddam's threat, the US forces without Bibles had to protect them!

The Saudis are one of the most controlled, repressive societies on earth. Women have no rights. They are mere property of their fathers, brothers, and husbands. They are married off in arranged marriages. They can not vote and they can not drive. They can not be in public without a male relative. Any expression of any form of religion except the official version is not only banned but punishable by whipping, imprisonment, amputation, or death. All television and arts and entertainment are controlled by the government. All of the weatlh, thru oil, is controlled by the ruling oligarchy, and these positions are passed down from family member to family member. And these people are our allies?
