I have an idea, lets nuke the WHOLE world, and lets see who nukes us back. Some of you people are so naive.

My son is currently deployed with the Marines in Helmand province. He is a FMF Navy Corpsman (Medic). His Mom and Dad are very proud him. We are also proud of his sister (Navy Veteran) and her Navy FMF Chief Corpsman.

Please keep our military service personal in your thoughts and prayers.

Bring them all home. Stop wasting lives. We shouldn't lose another of our best for that wasteland.

Im sure that these pictures were intended to honor our brave service people, but for those of us with loved ones there now, not the kind of pictures we want to see especially right before Veterans day.

Nice for NBC to be pro-military a couple days out of the year. Thanks. Good pictures -- really helps people know what it is like.

Thank you to all the armed forces for the sacrifices you have made and continue to make. I would hope that all Americans realize what we have, because of the armed forces, although When I look at pictures of some of the protesters across the country, I doubt that some of them have a clue.

retired, I assume you are referring to the OWS protesters. Don't forget, there are vets among those protesters too, one of whom was seriously injured by the police. The protest has nothing to do with the armed forces. Also, if you are referring to the picture of the flag being walked on, please keep in mind that there are those running for office who are, in their own way, stomping all over our flag by wanting to take away our rights. There are those in the crowd who back these candidates who think it's perfectly ok to strap on a loaded gun and stand among a crowd at a town hall meeting "just because they can". You will always find a mixture of good and bad when you have a crowd of people but you can't judge all by the rotten few.

To all the parents, praise for raising such fine young men and women! To all the fighting men and women, prayers are always with you that you come home safe. To those who suffer injuries, remember that as long as you have breath in your body you have hope. I think J R Martinez is an excellent example of someone who started out as a healthy, handsome young man, who went through hell and disfigurement only to come out of it as a magnificent example and spokesperson to and for his fellow fighting men and women. Yes, J R is scarred but he's still beautiful (if you can say that about a man) both inside and out.

Sane, common sense (not greedy thinking of the countries resources to gain at every given moment) methods to reach a negotiation BEFORE going to war is the intelligent way. That's my way and Im an American.
