Freedom?
Fascist pigs.
That's funny coming from someone with that name. You remember that in the story Varuka was the spoiled rich girl that demanded everything her way and for her daddy to buy anything she wanted?
Was she the heroine of the story? Was she the character that everyone roots for and aspires to be?
These Occupy groups are doing nothing more than Varuka. Now I'm not siding with the big businesses, banks, government officials, whomever the protestors are frustrated with, but these people need to do something more productive/civilized/respectable than just sit on the ground pouting and whining like a child, demanding free handouts from "daddy."
Yes, the government is supposed to take care of us, but there comes a time when we have to take care of ourselves.
Should CEO's take a pay cut to help their fellow man? Probably, but they're not obligated to, because it's their money. And they're probably not going to rationally listen to screaming people outside their door. They need to be talked with, not yelled at.
Have the banks foreclosed on a bunch of homes and cause many to be homeless? Yes, but if I remember correctly how contracts work, it's that there are two agreeing parties. The homeowners still have a requirement to pay off the loan before they can completely call the house their own.
Simply put, both sides--the protestors and the people they're protesting against--need to grow up.
Well said K-man.
On another note.....I was wondering looking over all the pics on MSNBC today....how many of the protestors shown with tattoos are the ones complaining about not being able to pay off loans....home, student or otherwise? Having 2 myself I am aware of the cost. If you can't pay off your debts because times are just too hard...then what are you doing sporting ink?
They came like thieves in the night...Bloomberg's Blue Shirts...and robbed us of our rights, and our possessions. all the while preventing reporters from reporting on the scene. Bloomberg, the self-proclaimed number one defender of free speech (pause for gagging), said in no uncertain terms: "yes, you have the right...the right to remain silent. So just shut up and obey". This is only the beginning dear Mayor .0001%. This WILL be your legacy- of repression. But you will NOT succeed. These mayors,, governors, city councils, police chiefs, and street cops of America need to realize that it is NOT UP TO THEM whether or not Americans peaceably gather, protest, discuss, or demonstrate. It's up to a document called the US CONSTITUTION. You can beat us and arrest us and tear-gas us, you can try to "permit" us to death....but you can't kill an idea. You can't keep down a people’s hopes and dreams for a better life....for us, and for our kids. America USED to work. The people had work. The system worke (sort of). Hey, EVEN the Congress used to work (sometimes). God knows, it was far, far, far from perfect -but at least we all had some share in the struggles AND the rewards. But somewhere along the way, we lost our way. Because now we have an economy and a political system that seems to work only for the rich. With OWS America has found it’s voice, and that voice demands fairness and justice - for ALL. This land IS our land! AND WE WANT IT BACK! We want our LIVES back! We want our FUTURE back! But it’s much more than just words.... it’s much more than politics..... it’s your freakin’ LIFE, and how you want to live it, and how you WILL live it. Find a quiet place somewhere, and consider this: Each of us has only one brief life....one chance....one roll of the dice....and many choices. The time has come to choose....to risk...and to act. If not now...then when? If not you, then....who? You DO have the power my friend....and the choice IS yours. Don’t let your dreams die....
Oh whip out the crying towel! Poor babies!
The message was sent.
Those responsible for the destruction of the economy, housing bust, and over 9% unemployment got the word.
OWS may be leaving the park, but are certainly not leaving the country.
The 2012 elections will be were OWS see’s you next time.
So call these Americans names, and scoff all you want, everyone in the country pro or con now knows how the 1% stole the economy, why the housing bubble burst, and why the country is out of work.
The OWS did everything by the book, using nonviolence to make Washington, Wall Street, and Main Street America open their eyes to the filth running Wall Street, the colluded and culpable bought and sold in Washington.
Good job OWS you deserve a Congressional Medal, and when these lame do nothing leeches in the current Congress are put in the unemployment line 2012, we will see about getting you one.
Good job, go home get some rest, keep working together see you 2012.
What gives me the impression that all OWS is going to do is vote Green Party and hand the ENTIRE government to the Republicans?
Non-violence in Oakland when they threw rocks and bottles, and whined like spoiled brats when the police responded properly. OWS is responsible for the veteran getting hurt. VOTE and change things. (Is it just me but do most of the OWS crowd run around with iphones and laptops.Where the money coming from if they don't work???) Spoiled rich kids...When I graduated college in the 70's there was a recession. I parked cars, washed dished, and worked fast food to survive. Oh I am sorry college means you have a RIGHT to a good paying job. No HARD WORK DOES.
The hate on the face of the police captain pummeling a demonstrator is palpable.
MUhahahahahahaaaa
Violating a Court order? Is this what it has come to ? Bloomberg you eat sh*t and die please
