Iranian diplomats have chartered a plane and are expected to leave Britain on Friday, expelled by the U.K. government in retaliation for attacks on the British Embassy in Tehran.
The roughly two dozen Iranian diplomats and their dependents were due to fly out of Heathrow Airport around 4 p.m. (11 a.m. EST).
The Iranian flag was still flying at Tehran's embassy in London early Friday, as movers were seen carrying packages from what is believed to be the residence of the diplomats a few doors down from the embassy.
On Tuesday, Iranian protesters stormed and ransacked the U.K. embassy compounds in Tehran.
In retaliation, Britain ordered Iranian diplomats off its soil, pulled its diplomats out of Iran and backed new sanctions on the Islamic republic. Read the full story.

I am bloody appalled that so many people still believe that Iran has an embassy in the U.S.
...and lest we forget...it was Ronald Reagan that SOLD ARMS to Iran in the mid 80's.
...let the end justify...well, something, probably something stupid. Supporting the Contras is not what I am referring to.
And now we plan on arming a group (that escapes me) and expect it to not turn into the deadly result it has always been. What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Folks are so quick to condemn Iran for the ills of the world, and particularly for the madness of the West. Iran is not the problem, Israel is. This illegitimate, terrorist so-called state of Israel is armed to its teeth with more deadly weaponry than any nation around that neighborhood. Nuclear weapons inclusive. Yet, they are not being sanctioned for all the war crimes they've committed for many years against their neighbors and Palestine, in particular.
Folks, stop being ignorant and look at the world with open eyes and ears. The same language being used against Iran today, was used towards Iraq when it was condemned during Saddam Hussein, only for the West to be wrong for all that was alleged to exist in Iraq. America and the so-called collision of the willing went in and the rest is history. They were disgraced beyond any imaginable case as outright liars and deceitful. Now, the same imperialists are out there again with the same language used again Saddam Hussein Iraq.
England is just not worth to discuss. With their imperialism, they have looted most people they became in contact with, particularly the Africans, either as colonial powers or as imperial vagabonds. Please people start to think and not write all the nonsense based on bad information. Iran is not my friend but its not and should not be the enemy either. Israel is the evil nation which has used biblical nonsense as a conduit of deceit by claiming to be the so-called children of of God and made the Palestinians, nationless. Which God??
All the world ills start and end in Israel. Eliminate those people and the world will have peace. Hitler tried and I wished he was able to complete the job.

Again I think if there were a Jesus and he came back, we would put him to death again. Everyone seems to know about politic's and world events but do you really think about the fact that you are only here in this world for up to 100 years. Thats it, dust in the wind. Make it count. Leave your mark to change the world by making it better. Making it better does not mean changing another persons view of the world. We need to grow as a world not grow as a country. We should be exploring different worlds together not trying to blow up our world. If you have children, remember the other people have children also. Share the love because its the only thing you take with you.

I disagree with some of the comments Russia will idly sit by because they have nothing to gain from
Iran. Russia's main concern is its economy And China will be supplied by other nations.
Politically, Iran is expendable. That's not good The world is what it is.The Brits' saber rattling is being used
not to instigate Iran but to remind them that there will be consequences for their action. All the might

To the above posters who refuse to give credit to our Commander-in-Chief regarding bin laden, I hope you are intelligent enough to know that is what any president does is confer, take into account and then decide.

Can we do the same? I mean why have an embassy in the UK. We agree with everything they do anyway. You know sometimes the word 'isolationism' has a meaning. We can clear out every embassy wherever we have one. We can stop all foreign aid. We can stop imports from violent countries (aka Pakistan, Afghanistan). Hell, who knows, maybe we can close down our borders ... or at least protect them. We can reform our government, too. Most of the congress members earn at least a million dollars per year .... Do you? No. Do they represent the average American citizen? No. So what do we do to kick them out of DC? ..... The supreme court is supposed to have the ultimate authority in this nation but they all have trouble finding a bar of soap in the bathtub. They have made several mistakes in the past 100 years. First, the IRS is an unconstitutional department. It was voted for in 1918-19 to pay for WW1 ... just a temporary income tax. It is 2011. It allowed Richard 'tricky dicky' Nixon to appoint a VP. It also allowed Tricky Dicky to resign. It also allowed the appointed new VP, now president Ford, to appoint a new VP. Rockefeller. I guess they were to busy still looking for that bar of soap. ........ All laws passed by congress should be reviewed by the supreme court. If congress passes a great law, but attaches a rider that states they have increased their salary by $10000, added benefits, and shorter retirement for themselves. That is unconstitutional, and should be struck down. ... How many of you would like to cast a simple vote to raise your wages/salary, get more benefits, retire at an earlier age? .... I have more respect for dogs/cats/pets in general then I have in our current government. Reformatted, a new structure is in order!
As long as Iran is going to insist on funding groups of people who want to kill Jews and Christians, they are not going to feel the love we have for other countries. If Americans acted the way the Iranians did, then we have the responsibility to take care of them and let them know they speak for themselves and not the whole country.
All this was foretold in the Bible where there were be wars, rumors of wars, lovers of self, boasters, rude and all sorts of unsocial behaviour.

I find it of more than passing interest that the Iranian people protesting against the Iranian government are doing it in the safety afforded them by being in the UK. I wonder if they would do this on the Main Street of Tehran?
Make sure that when they leave, they don't take any plutoium, enriched uranium, or centrifuges with them. All that stuff has to stay here.

Saw my father die because of lack of health care in this country while I witnessed a rich guy cheat death because he can buy his health. You say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one.
