President Barack Obama struck a pious tone on Sunday at a Christmas concert featuring teen pop star Justin Bieber and other singers that the president attended with his wife and daughters.
Comedian Conan O'Brien, hosting the TNT "Christmas in Washington" show, joked that at this time of year, thoughts turn to a miracle child worshiped by millions worldwide.
"I'm speaking of course, of Justin Bieber," O'Brien told the audience at Washington's National Building Museum, introducing the Canadian-born singer.
Obama, who attended a church service with his family on Sunday morning - which he does only rarely - joked and played with young patients from a Washington-area hospital before the show but was serious in his remarks to the crowd. Continue reading.

I Love you Mr. President, bring on the great Christmas spirit!!! I am feeling it; it is time to spreed the feeling of cheer all over the world, it's about love, peace, faith and joy!
Obama is going after the youth, but it's the youth that have no future because of him. Way too many college grads can't even get started on their careers and can't leave home because they have no jobs. I hope the youths wakes up, Obama has hurt them the most and will continue with another term. America going the wrong wrong way under Obama.

College grads cant get jobs? And they can't leave home because they have no jobs? ALL of that was happening before this man was president! The youths have awakened! Please explain how Obama has hurt the youth of this country! Again, I'm not his biggest fan, but I believe in 'Obama derangement Syndrome'!
So now it's this administrations fault that college grads can't find a job? I remember when I graduated college in the 1990's, most of us couldn't find jobs then either - so was that Obama's fault too? We had to refocus our goals and then get off our lazy whinning buts and do what had to be done for ourselves. I didn't blame anyone else because my original plan didn't work out.
I was think it is so odd that people like Terrie-3512799 can't see how the GOP/Tea party folks in Congress are the obstructionist in getting this economy growing a quicker pace. How can they not see that everything the President is trying to do to put people back to THEY ARE BLOCKING IN CONGRESS. Putting people back to work goes a hell of a long way to improving economy, creating even more jobs, reducing the deficient because of more revenue coming in. I just don't understand why people like Terrie-3512799 don't see this. Maybe they watch too much Fox News and just don't know how to think for themselves..Can't be too stupid, they got on the computer...Go Figure...Keep up the good work Mr. Obama and I welcome you to represent me through 2016. You make a serious error believing that because someone can operate a computer they, "Can't be too stupid...." You couldn't be more wrong.
Yes, they are stupid; not fifth-grade playground pejorative "stupid". They are dictionary definition "stupid". No amount of factual information that contradicts their position will move them to even reconsider their position. Virtually every view they hold is based on fear and/or hatred; not logic, not reason.
I urge you not to waste your time with these people. If you have energy to spare, use it to make sure that someone who is interested in the good of America goes to the polls and votes for President Obama's re-election.

And just where do you think the money will come from to pay for all of these wonderful government programs? You talk about people "thinking for themselves" and then you put all of your faith in the government to provide everything. Makes sense to me?! Oh, ya, I've got a lot of faith in the having the government running things and telling me what I can and can't do. . .gee, lets see, when was the last time they were successful at doing anything efficiently? One thing you can count on with Obama's Socialist agenda. . .he's awfully good at spending other people's money. When that runs out, we'll be able to take our place behind Europe. Then who are your going to go crying to for help. THERE ARE NO FREE LUNCHES. Time to grow up, get a job and quit looking for more handouts and really start thinking for yourself.

To blame the president for college grads not having jobs is laughable. The cause is the economic crash of 2007-2008 and the misguided national meme that everybody should go to college.
I just retired from working at the largest university in North Carolina and I can tell you half of the students there should have been working in trades they could have learned on the job instead of borrowing money to spend 4 years partying.
The workers called the university a "money machine" because between the sports program, the Vet School, the Engineering School it's the largest business in the state and most profitable. While the rest of the state wallows in debt, the university is spending hundreds of millions on a new library, a new Vet School, new dormitories etc. All this to suck in new students who borrow more money they will never pay back to spend more years partying, at least the American students.
If you were dropped off on campus with a blind fold in front of the engineering school you'd think you were in India, Japan or China. Mostly foreign faces we are training in math and engineering who will go home and suck the job market right out of the US.
You want to blame somebody for lack of jobs? You could start with the whole corporate mindset that keeps reinforcing the false belief that increased profits are a sustainable business plan. Only a moron would believe that increased profits are continually achievable from any business. You can only cut so much from manufacturing and staff until there is no more. By then you should have sold the business to the morons who believe this can keep going and run as fast as you can for the plane!
The word "ENOUGH" has faded from the American lexicon. When we used to use it, it referred to the ability of humans to be satisfied with an outcome. To continually strive to get more juice out of the orange was seen for what it is, mostly a fallacy. Yet today's brokers and financial wizards have never heard the word except during fantasized torture where between strokes of the whip they swear they'll never use it -- ever!
Some things can be improved and dreams of the "what if" are the fuel of tomorrows but to predicate the totality of our existence in America on the premise that tomorrow will always be better than today is insanity. The only people who believe it , DON"T BELIEVE IT! They're just selling it to you. Hoping to get your money and get gone before you come to your senses.

Sensible and informed citizens know that the reason the economy of the country isn't doing as well as it should be is because of the do-nothing congress. Voters made the mistake of voting in the Republican Tea Party obstructionists, so now we can't get any pertinent legislation passed. McConnell, along with other Republican Tea Party representatives have proven that they hate this president and pledge their allegiance to their lobbyist friends instead of the country. Also, most businesses can, but refuse to hire. They claim it's because of HCR, but our rates for group insurance at my company have gone down. Regardless, HCR is beginning to work, so companies that use this lame excuse not to hire have another agenda. Just as others have stated before me, if you think it's bad now, a Republican Tea Party president will make sure that the middle-class is destroyed. Their loyalty belongs to the banks, and other big business lobbyists. The 2012 vote will prove to be the most important election of our lifetime. No one can afford to sit this election out. Do so, and there will be SEVERE consequences for this country.

Amazing how people can read a lovely Christmas concert article and twist it into a forum for their own hate and ignorance. Must be very sad to always spew venom instead of wishing our nation, our people and the entire world could come together for a brief moment in time and rejoice for the things we do have.
