Dutch Queen meets Omani Sultan

I'd like to think she's saying "Well, you should see my palace."

These palaces and gaudy exhibitions of wealth along with corruption at the
highest levels of the societies in the oil rich Arabian Peninsula is so
contradictory to the essence of Islam considering the illiteracy, the
suffering, the poverty that plagues not only in the same region but most of the
    Muslim counties across the globe.

It is said that Prophet Muhammad was once in Medina when the Muslim soldiers
were fighting in a battle elsewhere. He was eating bread and date when someone
visits him and asks him why he was eating such a humble meal. How he could do
otherwise when Muslim were fighting on the battle field he responded.

From the early days of Islam in Mecca, Umar was considered the most powerful
individual in the world of Islam. It was during his reign as the second Caliph
that Syria and Persia were conquered.

Once a stranger comes to Media and goes to the Mosque asking to see the
Caliph – there was no secret service protecting the rulers at the time. Someone
pointed to Umar who was sleeping on the ground under a tree!

For myself, by the way, I have gone beyond the Abrahamic Faiths without
    rejecting the essence thereof.
