Snowy in Seattle: Winter storm snarls traffic; colder temperatures to bring icy roads

People push a car uphill next to a bus, Jan. 15, in Seattle, Wash. Several inches of snow fell quickly Sunday morning, snarling traffic and clogging roadways.

KING 5 reports:

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 10 p.m. tonight for the Seattle-Tacoma-Bremerton area. Overnight low temperatures will fall to the mid 20s to low 30s.

Heavy snow began falling on downtown Seattle just after noon and continued for more than an hour, making travel difficult. Traffic slowed to a crawl on Interstate 5 and several buses got stuck on slick ramps.

I drive my 4x4, so I'm invincible. All four of my tires will spin uselessly as I slide out of control down the hill.

Are you in Seattle, Optimist? Because if so, you are about to get dumped on again! Last time I saw snow there like they're predicting now, I lived at the top of Queen Anne but worked at the bottom. Let's just say I didn't even bother trying to show up!

I moved away long ago, but I certainly remember the spectacle of trucks and SUVs slipping and smashing into one another on some of the hilly streets the city forgot to close off.

Two things to say today !! first - What is the heck is Obamma doing now!! Cancelling the Keystone XL Project that just cost thousands of jobs to decent hard working Americans, Shame Shame. Prime Minister Stephen Harper said it right, " No Problem, We Will Just Sell The Oil To The Chinese Instead" so much for American ingenuity. What is he thinking? It is absolutley blatant that he has bowed to the enviorenmental groups before the election. What a useless president he has turned out to be. The Canadian People have kept a tally of how many negative decisions that has affected the people of the US and all we have to say is this. You have got what you voted for.
A president that bows to minorities and special interest groups that carry the minority vote. so much for a netral and fair president. A sad day in the US indeed. Do the world a favor and IMPEACH this idiot before he does irreprepable damage to the US and its allies.

Secondly, if there is any help that us crazt Canucks can do to help get rid of your snow, just ask. We will be glad to come down and do this for you for the small price of a night at tCoyote Uglys.

So some of you will say who is this guy? Well let me tell you. I am retired U.S. Army first seargeant Anderson. I served for 25 years in the 141st infantry division. So I have earned the right to sya that this president is a total idiot. I left the US after little Bush decided to go back and fight fior oil. My heart and spriit were broke when that little war monger did not get prosecuted for the death of my fellow soldiers, 2,243 dead troops and this sawed off little @!$%# walked free. Now you have a black president that could have broken the racial chains that have been ever present in the US. Instead he hold the INNIGURATION and the world saw just what was about to come for the US. So now the world has seen,

          All time highs in Unemployment

Forclosure rates at a new historic high

Big buisness and banks have become immune to prosecution

All 52 States are in finacial hardship. The most needed programs are being cut and school budgets have taken the worst of it and yet the US military budget has grown by 240% in the past 4 years of the Obamma administration.

Governor Gregoire is begging like a dog at the bone heap for help from the feds, never mind that it has historically been the that the people of Washington State have paid an average 17% more in federal and state taxes. I do feel sorry for her but yet that is another story.

The US goverment has placed a huge wall on veteren benifits and I guess in retrospect it would have been better if Hillary Clinton did cut there benfits at least the veterens could see there enemy.

Ladies and gentlemen all I can say is that I still beleive in the Constitution of the United States, and yet I know that now if you try to apply your given rights under the protection of the constitution then you will be prosecuted. I say to the people of the US stand up to your goverment and create a seperate party that does represent the people of the us and not the interest of oil, money, buisness and go back to the way that US can be, the greatest country in the entire world!!
