On the night of Jan. 29, 467 people sought shelter but only 315 places were available.

I live in Chicago and it's the warmest winter in 78 years. We've only had one storm which dropped 6-8 inches. Calling for almost 60 today at the end of January. The world is changing.

I can't stand hot, humid, and sticky weather. It's easier to warm the body up than to cool it down. I like the cold so long as the heat is working as it should.

Azar'El. It is a trip worth taking. I have been to Turkey many times. Plan on spending a few days in Istanbul. There are lots of wonderful things to see. Hit the little coffee shop between the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia and watch the Whirling Dervishes. With 7000 years of culture you will never run out of things to see and learn about.

Ah all those unregulated factories around the world, all the forests in the world cut up and gone away replaced with concrete jungles. Enjoy!

Al Gore predicted all this a few years ago and people did not want to believe him. Extreme swings in temp world wide as the earth gets steadily warmer over all. An Inconvienient Truth.

Oh for the love of.... do your homework and see the cycles of the earth. We may have sped up the changes but this is the normality of the planet. We're just lucky enough to have lived in a calm period of the earths cycle. Things may get interesting soon. [Shrug]

Is Al Gore a supreme being that I should be praying to? If you remember he created the internet also.

Jack, the ice isn't melting, continents aren't shrinking, there are no tornadoes across the US in winter, Texas did not suffer extreme high temperatures and drought - there are no famines due to drought in other countries. There is no increse in forest fires and flooding. And the north? This winter, just a blip. None of this is really happening. It's just a liberal trick. Shame on us liberals.

Encino man is the name of the movie and I thought so also. After looking at it again, Im still not so sure its not a frozen girl.

I guess the weather doesn't matter since the Myans have predicted Dec. 21, 2012 as being the end of time. At least I won't have to go Christmas shopping.
