The Washington state Senate has passed a bill that would legalize same-sex marriage, a step seen by proponents as a critical hurdle for legislative approval, even as the threat of a ballot challenge looms.

The measure was passed on a 28-21 vote. Four Republicans crossed party lines and voted with majority Democrats for the measure. Three Democrats voted against it.  The measure now heads to the House, which is expected to approve it. Gov. Chris Gregoire supports the measure and has said she will sign it into law.

Good! We don’t want ignorant people here that have that way of thinking! Besides, legalizing it here will only generate revenue for the state!

Ignorant? Why? Because he holds dear the traditions and moral campus of our parents and didn't sell his soul like hollywood and the extreme left did?

Generate revenue? You mean like the rest of the leftist states where high taxes and no revenue is the norm ala Kalifornia which is going bankrupt come march?

Perplexing. I was not aware of a law that specificly prohibited same sex marriage to start with. I know that it is against the Christian ethic, but those ethics are self induced to start with, and have no true meaning in reality, except to those who want to spread their beliefs through out the planet. I guess this is a great blow to Benni Hinn and the other "Christian" shysters.....
