In San Juan, Puerto Rican officials marked Presidents Day by unveiling bronze statues of U.S. President Barack Obama and former President Lyndon B. Johnson, pointedly noting that people who live on the island can't vote in the U.S. general election and lack other basic rights.
The two life-sized statues are the newest additions to the "Avenue of Heroes," outside the capitol building in the U.S. island territory. The statues honor every sitting president who ever visited Puerto Rico, dating back to Theodore Roosevelt. Obama became the eighth when he visited in June.

I would bet money that this comes before another attempt to get the right to vote in our elections for citizens of Puerto Rico. This would be a very rich soure of purchased by gimmie votes for the Democrats.
It definitely would be just like Repubs go and say a pray and get all the religous votes. They are the same.
It's great that the good people of Puerto Rico are honoring Obama. Puerto Rico could be a state, if you ask me.
I must say, though, that the blue unvieling cloth reminded me of a burka.
I think this is very hypocritical of the money spent for these two figures that have done nothing for our Country it could have been best spent doing a Kiosk for a small business to get out a bit more out the roaring un-employment, Puerto Rico is going thru.
El Coqui--There is no current measuring stick for your (and other idiots like you) level of stupidity
Lyndon Johnson, a statue? The guy responsible for the Vietnam war. Next up, a statue of Charles Manson.
