BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — A packed train slammed into the end of the line in Buenos Aires' busy Once station Wednesday, injuring at least 340 morning commuters, Argentina's transportation secretary said.

"There are people still trapped, people alive, and there may have been fatalities. We don't know if there are dead people" in the wreckage, J.P. Schiavi told reporters at the station.

I'll make sure to tell my Mexican mechanics that they can't do their job any more because of their ethnicity.

Not only are you a bigot.. but stupid as well. The bulk if not 98% of the country is made up of European Immigrants. FYI:

Perhaps sharing the same heritage as you. Like this has anything to do with a terrible accident! I have been on those trains as I travel there frequently and hope that none of my friends were on them. People like you give Americans a bad name around this world.

I found your comment to be discriminatory and racist. Maybe what you know as Hispanics are not what really Hispanic are. You should apologize. Your comment is not welcome, it have nothing to do with the accident itself.

Well, I am not a biggot but JLD99 has a lot of truth to what he says. I live in Costa Rica and trust me, they cannot drive, period. If the California Highway Patrol came down here, stationed themselves at one corner of a busy street, they would go thru about 2 or 3 cases, yes cases, of ticket books IN ONE DAY. These people are colorblind to red and green. Driving on our streets is a hazard. They make U turns where every they want. I shake my head, unbelievably........

And don t start me on common sense. Get this, if you are involved in an accident, even a small fender bender, a scratch for that matter, you have to leave the cars where they are until the police get there, which could take an hour, and usually more. EVEN ON A BUSY STREET, THEY WILL BLOCK TRAFFIC FOR HOURS........

As for fixing things, the old saying still holds true, if you want something done right, do it yourself.

Wow!! I totally agree with Justiceforall...JLD99 you are an idiot and you should be ashamed of yourself...and Alsex is also correct, what does that have to do with the accident? My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the people invloved and also hats off to the many non emergency people who have offered asstitance in this moment of crisis.

                  @ Mikee-1813137

So let me get this straight, you "LIVE" in Costa Rica and the citizens there dont know how to drive? So I would imagine the citizens need to cater to you and the way you were taught how to drive? Please explain to me again why you're NOT a biggot? (maybe more idiodic though) Listen, smart guy, maybe since you are living there, you should learn and adapt to their coulture and NOT vice versa. This is why countries around the world hate us, we come to their country and act like our crap dont stink and everything we do is better. Wake up Mike and learn to adapt and accept instead of ridiculing those around you.

                  @JLD99

Will not even waste my time with your ignorant and racist comment

Conductors do not operate trains, engineers do! When all is said and done there are perhaps two logical reasons for this terrible accident. First, engineer died or was incapacitated before the trains entered station, hence, unable to break equipment. Second, signal or equipment failure.

This system was not maintained, much like our infrastructure. Typical, take the money and run and to hell with people.

                    warm regards
