There is nothing that requires people in Gaza to launch missiles to try and kill people who live in Israel. The only thing that people in Gaza understand is overwhelming brute response.

It's true, if the so called Palestinians would STOP FIRING ROCKETS/MORTORS into Israel there would be no need for the Israelis to attack so called Palestine. They constantly elect and honor known terrorists whose only goal/desire is to push Israel into the sea. Even if they had their own 'state' they would continue towards goal only this time w/o sanctions or criticisms. As the a people or land called Palestine, there never was such a country but a land ruled by the British that they called the territory of Palestine. Every time Israel kills someone, other than a woman, or child, they call them militants or say they were ready to shoot rockets. Who is there to verify what the Israelis claim. That is the reason Israel will not let in neutral observers. The Israelis are serial liars, thieves,terrorists and spies.

I doubt whether those destroyed buildings were firing rockets. Just remember, Israrel started the killing by assassinating a Hamas leader in his car. I am quite sure he wasn't launching rockets at the time. I guess the Israelis read his mind and predicted he would shoot a rocket. The Palestinian rockets were launched in retaliation, something Israel does every time it is attacked.

Notice how the Palestinians are still using primitive bottle rockets which almost never hit anything, while Israel claims they are armed by Iran. If that is all Iran has, where is the threat from Iran?

The Palestinians said that the whole reason there is unrest is because of settlements so Israel pulled the settlements but the attacks still come. Israel needs to scorch Gaza and crush the Palestinians and then take it to Iran.

This can't be resolved with a one or two state solution because both peoples have religious history in that region and both peoples want Jerusalem as the capital of their second state. Could it just be that they were not mentioned on the map as a country because at the time the west in all our arrogance did not consider them as seperate states and choose just to name the whole area Arabia. I felt terrible for the young boy who was killed on his way to school and others but after going through all of the photos, began questioning and becoming angry that the only photo of Israel was of a rocket. After going through all of the comments, apparently this inequality was glaring to most of us. If Israel did not have safe guards in place to protect their people, who knows how many would have been killed by another potentially deadly, unwarranted attack.

Chefaz and Anonymous - I am very thankful for the Iron Dome intercepting a number of the projectiles that have been sent into Israel during this time. From what i hear some were headed into residential areas and could have easily claimed lives.

No "sane" individual would want the IDF to conduct a full scale operation on where they live... but then again, we are talking about the people who got thwomped during Cast Lead... and only survived because Israel showed restraint (arguably too much) and didnt get the job done. And then the thugs in charge of Gaza declared they had the victory. I forgot that no sane individuals were involved in that particular thought process.

I believe that Muslims, even Muslim extremists, are smart enough to recognize that this whole Palestinian identity thing is just a silly charade. I'm sure they know that there is no such thing as a Palestinian people. They remember that it was just some Muslim Arabs who organized a little club in the late 1960's (led by an Egyptian) and then appropriated the name "Palestinian" for it. That is why Jordan, which represents the largest part of Palestine, kicked that club out of their country in September, 1970.

The Muslim countries view the “Palestinian” club as convenient junkyard dogs to bedevil their enemies, but recoil in horror at the idea of actually having to live with them.
