Army Spc. Daquane D. Rivers of Marianna, Fla died on March 14 in a noncombat-related incident in Afghanistan “supporting Operation Enduring Freedom:, the Department of Defense announced late Thursday.
Details surrounding Rivers' death have not yet been released.
According to iCasulties.org there have been 1,913 U.S. military fatalities in Afghanistan.

Wow! I am suprised to see there are not more comments here? This is another tragic event. Unfortunately; our supreme commanders see fit to keep the troops over there. Untill we can give full controll to the Assghanis, we are stuck over there! Another fine soldier pays the ultimate price! Tragic!
For the love of our people there, untie their hands and let them fight, and get it over with! Thaere is no reason to have to fight for so long! Let our troops do their jobs, and be done with it!!!
Bring our boys back home now!!!
I think the world leaders should be the first to step on the battlefield. Then maybe we wouldn't see pictures like this so often. As someone once said, 'War is a necessary evil.' The thing is most of us could get along if we somehow met everyone else. We're not so different. But for now we can only thank those that have given everything for us.
